Why not give it back to Best Buy if it has only been a day?And told them that I'm having light leakage on my second evo after exchanging it at bestbuy. I've only had it for a day. Think they'll send me one?

I don't think it really matters where you get it from, it will still be hot or miss. If the leakage is really noticeable I would bring it back to Best Buy first. Worse they can say is no......Well heres my story. I switched to sprint from verizon on the 15th of July. Got a blackberry. Didn't work. Exchange. Next one. Bad trackpad. Exchange. Next one. Another bad trackpad. Exchange. Annoyed the hell out of them to see when they would have evos in stock. Got one. Light leakage. Exchange. I'm just so damn embarrassed now. Plus all my phones have been bad from there so I thought what better way to get a perfect one than to have it shipped from the company itself?

If I said yes or no would you believe me?Well I just really don't wanna go back to best buy. Do you think HTC will acknowledge the problem and send me a new one? And do you know how it works exactly?
I doubt that they consider a small light leak an issue... In the course of normal use, light leakage doesn't affect anything the phone does. About the only time it's an issue is in a dark room.
Best of luck to you on your dream of swapping, but from what I've seen in the forums, if all you have is a bit of a leak, keep it and be greatful you don't have a screen separation problem or worse.
My worry is that it will eventually turn into that and get much worse have you seen peoples pictures and stories? The light leakage isn't the only problem but the others would just be me knit picking.
Thanks pretty informative. The phone is great but this SMALL problem is SUCH an annoyance honestly.I got a funny feeling that the phone in the image above (the one with the 4 really bad points) was either already abused or wasn't sealed at all at the factory. Maybe someone pressing hard on the screen due to the 'grounding issue' or something like that? If you press hard enough on the middle, the outside will eventually give - or the screen would crack...
The BlackBerry Storm (9530) was notorious for its leakage problems and dust under the glass. The leakage was fixed with a rubber gasket on the later models and the dust was fixed by applying some additional adhesive around the perimeter of the screen.
HTC will probably take care of the units that aren't abused by simply resealing the screens (maybe with some more aggressive tapes?) and adjusting the sensitivity of the screen so you don't feel like you have to 'press' it to make it work.
Again, mine has 2 very very very small light points at the bottom that are only viewable in a dark room so it's really not a big deal to me, but for those that have worse problems, I feel for ya!

I like how many people are returning phone under the assumption "It will get worse". Maybe it will, but then again, maybe it wont. Why risk getting a phone with a REAL problem that effects, well, anything? If it does get worse, or seperating sure, exchange it. But just seems alot of people are getting worked up over something minor thats not hurting anything - atm.
Why not use some superglue under the screen? Fix the issue yourself folks. Not that hard to do.

Because I waited, I'm now outside of any 30 day warranty from Sprint (bought the phone on Sprint.com), but Im HOPING this can be fixed by HTC. I've emailed them and am waiting for a response.
