Help Restore Apps

so here is my problem. I have had a rooted droid 1 for a while and today i traded it in on a new evo 4g v2.3. I saved all my apps to the sd card when i got home I put the sd card in my new phone and.....no apps. Most were free apps but some are no longer in market and id like them back. I have searched for the answer but all I can find is people asking how to save apps "to sd" not bring them "from SD" any help would be great. I tryed to install appbrain and sync and still nothing. I have a 2 gig sd card with only 322mb left so I know the apps are there I just cant find how to install them!

Moved to evo section:)

What did you use to back them up? If all you did was 'move app to sd' then you can't get them back that way. If you backed them up with a file manager like astro then all you did was back up the apk.

Titanium backup (or something similar) is the only way you actually back up the data from apps....

updated title name:)

ok then how do I delete everything from my sd and start over :(
(I had months of tap fish and now I have to start over):(:(:(

nightangel is correct. when you move apps to the sd card only parts of the apps actually get moved. some of it still stays on the phone. so the only way is to either use titanium backup but you have to be rooted or use mybackup pro. another way is to use app list backup.
