Root Restoring Data With TiBu vs.CWM Data Restore

Since my phone got upgraded to ZVD by LG (with some Verizon add-ons like the power-on sound which is cool :)) and I wanted my data back from GSE, I went into CWM and did an advanced restore from the backup I did prior to returning the phone and it restored all my data, apps, wallpaper, etc back to how they were. I got to wondering wouldn't it be more convenient to backup/restore your entire /data partition this way than doing a backup in Titanium Backup then having to restore and deal with the issues that can happen with TiBu?

+1^^^ most do not do a backup just after rooting. Definitely agree with you on that route. Nothing against TB you know. Some people just would rather use an app("There's an app for that");) Than do with CWM.

That is an interesting way. Never thought of doing it like that cause I'm so used to titbu.

Verizon power on sound has been in that folder since the initial release of Esteem back last September. Nothing new. Just shows how rushed LG was to get this over to Metro.

I apologize. I mistook the "Verizon sound" for the stock LG power on sound... I was talking about my PowerOn.mp3 though. Instead of the Metro "Hello, hello, hello" I get the Metro boot animation w/ no sound until the stock LG power-on sound at the black MetroPCS screen just before it finished booting (link to my PowerOn.mp3 below). Now that I've flashed the debloated stock ZVD ROM though it's gone, not that it matters.

After flashing the debloated ROM I again restored my data using this method and haven't had any problems. I'll make a guide in a bit
