Root retire the prevail?

thinking of updating..what phone would you get...why..i want something better rootable and faster just hard to divorce the prevail..........:confused:
 
Galaxy s3 yes its pricey but in my opinion the best device available from boost. really depends on what your lookin for spec wise. the prevail was a little beast. thnx to the developers who took this little chihuahua of a phone and turned it in to a pitbull. Wonder if the P2 will have the same capabilities! i might buy one just to be involved depending on whos backing this thing as far as developers! sounds to me like your on deck Kouma, you getting one? if u do then im in ive never done any dev work but behind the scenes i tested alot of the work that went in to the prevail! im promoting the s3 just to get some trusted devs over there. i want paranoid but i would have to flash a sprint rom which would break my 4g and mms :(
 
Is this really the most talked about topic for the last Four days???! Wow I'm deeply saddened for our lil Beast... :'(

Edit: I don't even seen anyone on anymore.... Is is the Prevail dead?? Is there no more we can do??? I guess I'm going to make a theme for CTMod 3.80. One that will take weeks... An overhaul if you may... No theme for the theme, Just Pimp my Prevail.
 
Lol. Bro, don't feel bad. I have dropped one in a toilet, in the lake while getting out of the boat, and in a cup twice while driving. I was never able to save any of them. Thankfully none of them were smartphones. :D:p:D
 
Chalk up one more for a toilet. Mine was because of a damn hoodie pocket. Those pockets are worst for dropping things when you go potty (LoL) or getting out of a car.

But I think my Prevail is going to be put on the bench soon. End of August will be 2yrs. I just dont know what to get. It seems Sprint/Boost both lied to me by saying 4G service would be available here in Milwaukee by June/July 2013. I want a 4G phone, but whats the point if Im only getting 3G service? Its like buying a muscle car and then never going over 35mph.

....and so am I !!!! Looked at the Prevail 2 at the Boost store..... Nice toy, good specs, buttttttttttttttttttttttttt, first of all it slightly larger than the Prevail, so I can't use my favorite holster...... Secondly, I still have 2 perfectly great working Prevails, one activated, one not, so nooooo reason for me to upgrade and I usually don't need a bigger phone. If I would need one, I'd get a tablet and still use the Prevail 1 !!!! Grinzzzzzzzzzz

Yeah, unfortunately my eyes aren't getting any better in my old age so I needed to go with a larger phone. Lol. :p:D:p

I can still use my Prevail but only while wearing glasses. :eek:

I might just have to stop by Best Buy and take a look at the Prevail 2 just for the heck of it.
 
I just bought the Prevail 2
I gotta wait half a week for it to get here though.
Can't wait to have some fun with it

A lot of people swear by it. My HTC One SV got wet and the screen got splotches. The Auto Brightness starting flickering.

The rice helped the screen some. I probably waited too long to do it. But the Auto Brightness works fine now.
 
It's a fact people. RICE WORKS!!! It's best to leave the phone in a zip-lock bag of rice for several days after it gets wet for best results.

Of course you need to take the phone apart too before placing it in the rice. lol

Try and remove as much of the water as possible 1st! :D
