Thats right you can reverse tether to access internet on ur phone from pc..

To do this, install an app called better terminal after rooting.
Create a hotspot, connect ur pc to the phone.. Then Bridge Wireless network and ur Local Area Network..

open better terminal on phone and type

su
netcfg wl0.1 dhcp

Close it and ull now have internet access on ur phone

There's also a way to do this via USB but It requires working drivers :(.. USB reverse tethering works in linux though..

We do have a working USB driver currently, i don't have a linux distro installed on my system so i'm trying to figure a way out for the same in XP.

If you would like to suggest anything please reply.

In linux, i first made my USB0 connection to shared with all networks
then in terminal emulator i typed
su
netcfg usb0 dhcp

I think this is also possible in XP if you find a way to bridge the USB connection with your Local area Network.. Pretty much the same thing as wifi
then use
su
netcfg usb0 dhcp

Good luck :)

why do so much of work while you can download a app for windows called connectify me for free install it .. start the hotspot.. now scan wifi network from your phone connect to it .. easy. I have been using connectify for ages now. Cheers.

Connectify does not work in XP.. and my wifi device Ralink RT73 USB WLAN is not detected by connectify, virtual router or mhotspot...

Thats y i used this procedure
