Help Reverting to 2.3.6 from 4.0.3

Hi,
I installed 4.0.3 and didn't like it that much so i decided to revert back to my original rom

Anyway, when i installed ICS i clicked on Re-partition in odin

Now..when installing 2.3.6 i just put the tar file in the PDA slot and press Start.

Is there a problem here? Is there a partition thing that ICS made which i need to revert?

It's quite possible that the new version uses a different partition mapping than the previous one, so to be safe you should flash the correct .PIT file for the firmware you are reverting to.

I reinstalled 2.3.6 without repartitioning and it's working quite well right now.
But if it is better to repartition to be sure, i could do that.
Where can i get my hands on a .pit file? my 2.3.6(stock) comes as only one file (pda)
