Root [Revised] Rooting Gingerbread 2.3.5 Dummies Guide

ok sorry im sick, and multi tasking right now. so is the file on the card yet if not that is fine connect the phone to the pc and select recovery in bootloader then select usb-ms toggle a window should popup with the cards content. you can transfer the file that way.

ok so.......do this, power the phone on. do you have a file manager app on your phone? if not then download es file manager from the market. open the app up and use it to navigate to your card. you should be able to see the the PC36IMG file. does it have an extension on it?

Zip's already there.

hmmmmm so weird. you have me stumped at the moment.

but good news is that you are unlocked and have amon ra2.3 recovery. you can now flash roms, kernels, themes and mods!!!!!! yes your bootloader will be watermarked. but so what. sprint does not support the evo anymore and if you have assurion insurance you can send it as is with no issues what so ever if anything goes wrong. i will try and see if i can get the captains help tomorrow and see why the bootloader is not recognizing the file.

Oh Good!

I'm throwing the towel man lol.

Thank you for your help. I look forward to removing the watermark soon...

oh damn nice!!!!
you should go to the dummies guide and look into partitioning it. when you do so you can move your apps to the sd card and never have to worry about space again. i have 160 apps on my evo right now!!!! with 200mb still left on the phone.

we have a new method to root the phone. it is called TacoRoot. i have changed the guide and re-organized it so i can add it to theguide. check it out if you like.
