Rezound EOL?

After all of the hype and hope, has this phone already reached end of life? It apparently has been pulled from the shelves at Verizon and Best Buy. No more new phones until my Rezound absolutely becomes unusable.

Surprising, its still a decent option IMO. Unless a replacement is shortly to be released.

It doesn't look like they are clearing it out, though. It is still available on Verizon's web site and the price with a 2-year contract is $199.99. If they were EOL, I think the price would be much less, just to get rid of them.

FWIW, the HTC Rhyme is still available on the VZW web site too, and if I remember correctly it is older than the Rezound.

I can't say what is happening in the stores, because Best Buy is of no interest to me, and VZW corporate owned stores are something I avoid like the plague (sales reps who don't know their butts from a hot rock, etc.).

The Rezound was released 11 months ago. That's about what I remember for the OG Incredible. That' not a bad run especially since there are phones with better specs and more features out there, unlike the Inc that held it's own for a long while.

Still have my DINC.:)

Not sure about the EOL, but I was in a Verizon store over the weekend and they still had it on display.

I've seen the Rezound on display at a Verizon store 2-3 weeks ago. But the phone's bottom buttons were messed up so I couldn't really maneuver around on it. I checked the store twice at different times and the same problem was present. Anyways, how come this phone hasn't gotten good hype?

Because I bought it ... or so it seems. Every phone/tablet/device I research and really like ... and works really, really well ... doesn't seem to have shelf life or accessory support.

Kind of like politics ... whatever I vote for fails!

Sorry!

It's not hyped ecause despite all the good things it has going for it, the Rezound gets poor battery life out of the box, is not as light as other phones like the RAZR and was/is expensive.

That said, custom ROMS like cyanogenmod, Viperrez and others still make the Rezound a good performing phone. Dual core 1.5 ghz and a great phone camera still put the Rezound among the better smartphones out there.

End of life? Maybe as far as HTC and Verizon are concerned, but the Rezound still has some good days ahead of it.

One of my wife's friends broke her phone, so of course my wife turns to me and says "honey, you have that extra launch day phone just sitting in its original box with the receipts and all the documentation, why do you give it to Madame FumbleFingers?"

sigh... I no longer have my DInc.
