*Rezound ICS OTA is live Thread*

So...I did the date forward thing(but it looks like it might have had nothing to do with it) and got the 7 MB file...but now I can't press "check new". When I go to status it has the date as 8/24(the date i moved forward to).


Did I just screw this up for myself and now have to wait until the 24th to get the update OTA?


EDIT: As I was typing this I just got the update. :D
 
So just as I joked that I didn't get the update, I checked my home screen and noticed it was being a bit laggy. I went to check for a new software update, and lo and behold, got prompted for the 7.1 MB download! ICS, here we come!
 
Same as others have posted. Once the phone installs the 7Mb update and reboots you automatically get the ICS one!

Edit: Crap! My download failed. Server was unavailable. Now when I hit Check Now it does nothing! I am rebooting my phone and see if that fixes it.

Edit2: Ok that fixed that. Download try #2. LOL!
 
Had to "check for new" here in NYC (Brooklyn), but I got the 7.1Mb update prompt, and am in the middle of the reboot after download.

Edit: Confirmed, after final reboot after the 7.1Mb file, I'm prompted to download the 299Mb ICS update, which I'm downloading now.
 
Installing the 7MB now... Boston 12:30pm local. Checked for and DL'd over 4G

edit: or maybe not... had a green install bar, now have the red triangle exclamation of doom... (S-Off and rooted, debloated, but otherwise stock...)
 
I don't know for sure if checking for the update helps vs waiting for the notification, but it worked for me. What are the odds that I would be selected as one of the first in what has been billed as a multi-day rollout?
 
Tried the force stop Google framework trick a dozen times last night without success. Just checked via the phone menu and the first update is in route. :smokingsomb:
 
I swear verizon twitter support reps are dumb. I said I didn't see global capability in the change log in pdf but wanted to know if it had it because the radio was in there (and the moto phones all offically got it) and they responded with they didn't see it in the change log in the pdf either.
