Ring volume when using headphones

When using headphones to listen to music I find the ring volume and email notification is too loud so I turn them down.
However when I unplug the headphones the notification volume is too low.

Is there any way to setup a profile for it to use when I am using headphones and then revert to normal volume once they have been unplugged?

Tasker may be able to do what you want, though I don't use it so with any luck someone will be able to confirm if this is the case.

From what I understand, Tasker should let you set up a profile that sets volume levels of different sound settings depending on whether or not you have headphones connected.
