Help Ringer turning itself off

Several times a week I notice my screen doesn't turn itself off and just stays lit. Afterwards, when I unlock the screen I see the ringer go from max to off on the without touching any buttons. I'm on my second Evo and had the problem on both phones. Anyone else having this issue?

Been having the very same problem with my OG Droid as of late. Get Lock Ringer, it'll always keep the volume are the level you set.

any task apps like tasker or timerriffic installed?

also check all of your apps....check for apps with wild permissions that would give them control over this

can timeriffic change the ringtones ?

If a profile is set yes. The original post was that they are being turned off. Timmerrific can be set to turn them off during select times. I have seen this done by mistake and have even done it myself
