Help Ringtone and Notification sounds

Is anyone else having a problem with the ringtone and notification tones randomly changing to something else? Cause i am ever since the ZVD update
 
I've had it on a few different ROMs.. From what I read is that it happens when your ringtone or notification is on external sd.. Copying it to internal sd should fix..
 
Why would they be on external first off? I can imagine that that WOULD be the problem. Why are they not where they should be? system/media
 
ive had problems with this since i got the phone on zvb. i posted about it a couple times and theres no apparent fix. what i do is since i dont change my ringtone very often is convert it to .ogg and inject it into /system/media/audio/ringtones and set permissions accordingly. thats the only way my ringtones will stick.

No.. Wherever the default location is.. But from the way I understand it, if its a custom ringtone on the external, it doesn't always catch right on startup because it is scanning the sd.. Whichkinda doesn't make sense because the internal is scanned also I believe.. if I get some time this afternoon I'll move them over and see if its fixes it.. Read on af that's what it was though.. Been on the todo list..
 
i take it you turn off your phone at night or when its charging? if so u really dont need to power down your phone.
 
That's when it happens to me.. Usually hit a reboot in the morning when it comes off the charger to get a fresh start..
