Sigh.... He was one of those few actors that simply made anything he was in better. Partly by his own talent.. Partly by the energy he brought... And partly because he had a talent for making others around him better.... He'll be missed

Yea I am in that boat too, either I have been very out of tune with the news of the world (entirely possible - it has been election season ) or I just haven't been paying attention in general. I had no idea about Bowie - came as a total shock and now this. My wife came in as I was finishing my shower this morning and said "did you hear about Alan Rickman?" I was blind sided.

He was great in Die Hard. I liked him in Dogma as well. He was also in Quigley Down Under.
