are you using the door that came with the extended battery or the original one?

i wasn't able to get the case to snap shut using the extended battery door.

are there any other rocketfish case users out there that can confirm whether the case fits with the new door or not?
 
Yes i have the extended battery on with the extended battery case and it DOES fit with this case. All clips snap together and fit perfectly. I also take it on and off to use with my media dock and i have no problems putting it back on each time with the extended battery and extended battery case on there. I would take pics but it just looks like all the other pics in this thread. Case fits and closes perfectly with the extended battery and extended battery case. My seidio came today but missed the mail man. I will pick it up tomorrow and report back if it fits that case.
 
wonder why it didn't fit with my case? grrrrr!

I don't know how or why I just noticed that the case actually has the "mold" for what looks like the extended battery.
 
Uh no, the tabs do not close at all with the extended battery/door on the phone. Are you lying?

You can only get two sides closed at a time...either the two side ones or the two top and bottom ones, never all 4. Not even close.

And by no means does the SLIGHTLY raised part of the back mold accommodate the new door, there is still a whole huge space that it creates because it is not far out enough to go over it correctly.

Uh no.....I am not lying. Not sure why you had so much difficulties snapping a case together. I just made a video showing the phone with the case on, then me taking the case off, showing the phone with the extended battery cover on it, then putting it on again. I was able to do this with one hand while recording the video with the other, so I really don't understand why you had so much difficulties snapping a case together. Well I guess you can watch the video and follow my instructions of "take the case off, and put it back on again". Hopefully that will help you figure out how to put this case on correctly. Try it with two hands at first and with a little more practice maybe you will be able to do it with one hand like me. I shot the video in 720p HD so that you can catch every detail, maybe you can see where you made your mistake in trying to snap the case together. Just keep trying...maybe one day you will succeed.

Uh hey smartass, just like jayloren, mine in fact does not close with the new door on, period. Obviously it is a crappy case QA-wise and some are made slightly differently sized. I know this because I had to go back to my Best Buy and try FOUR cases before I found one that would even close at the bottom tabs. The BB Mobile employee recognized how many I had to try to get a good one and even commented on how crappy they were in this sense.

So no, some of you will be out of luck if you try this.

Perhaps instead of accusing him of lying (I saw your earlier post before you edited it where you told him to "stop lying", you could have mentioned exactly what you just posted above instead of calling him out (not to mention another attack on the poster who was forced to prove his legitimate claim with your tasteless choice of words). Then you might have been able to help everyone reading this post that there are variations of this product and they are not all made the same.
 
Just got the seidio innocase and holster. Happy to report it fits with the extended battery cover as well. Fit and finish is superb. Hard buttons are easier to access than the rocketfish case. I love this case, holster, extended battery, sgp ultra crystal screen protector and my droid x!!!!! Life is good....

Do you have the car dock? If so, did you mod it and does it fit? Is the thickness of Seidio more, less or same as the Rocketfish case? Big fan of Seidio cases, but the Rocketfish fits like a glove in the car dock (modded).
 
went back to best buy and exchanged it for one that fits, they all appear to fit its just you get one snap the just wont lock :) I tried 5 cases to get one that would lock all the way around.

update I had MAXX my 8yr old snake give it a squeeze :)

Why all the heartache over the extended battery and this case? Just leave the battery door off. You don't need it with this cover on.

I have this case and the extended battery. I also use the VZW slide in belt holster (the one that comes with a phone cover) and use it with for my Rocketfish. Works like a charm.

Same here, leave the door off. The battery will not come out and will breath better.
