I tried a new keyboard was getting tired of Swype it's the one from the xda forums the htc keyboard that turns speech into text and it works great have you tried it bearsfan85 if not I have the zip file with the keyboard and calibration apk that go's with it want to give it a shot, O I forgot you don't have the behold2 anymore you could try it on the G1.
 
which one is it? I use swift key for my soft keyboard, its decent, your probably using the htc ime keyboard that xda modified

as a side note blind type is coming out soon which is probably gunna be the keyboard of choice for roms, though I prefer swype

Good to know I'll keep a eye out for it, I like swype too but its good to have one like the HTC ime one if I'm not in the mood to type.
 
Here are a few apps I think people should download to get a froyoish experience

Tattachapkinstaller, allows you to download apk's from email attachments

HomePipe, actually gingerbreadish, but allows you to steam music, photo's and videos from your computer to your phone

Ok, so between having to work all weekend (unexpectedly, arghh) and the forum being down, I wasn't able to accomplish anything. @bearsfan85 I still have the files you sent me, all good there. What I needed was the instructions posted on the forum for making images for odin. Since I couldn't get on the forum out here till around 9:00 pm last night, my plans were shot all to hell. So I will have to squeeze some time outta my week here and there to get this going. My apologies to all on the forum who have been waiting for this. Sorry.
 
I'm thinking of changing my Bh2 to this "thingy".. (just want the black status bar) :D

One question: will this erase my messeges??
 
Aww, darn.. it's cause i want to save some pictures and when i save them they come up all blurry in small resolution..

And those pics are in the messeges.
 
@bearsfan85 instead of draining the battery and charging it fully after installing rom can I just adb push bhman's batterystats.bin to /system/data ??? Where can I find stock calculator apk ?
are you going to tweak around the framework apk some more for it to be more froyo like ?? I appreciate for all your work to make Behold2 more bearable :D

btw Thanks a lot for this awesome rom!! nice stock dialer and calendar implementation
 
I would assume that it would work the same, im not too familiar with the battery bin, private message me your email and I could send you stock calc, though it would be tomorrow when I get it to you. As for the framework its about as froyo as i can make it without the actual phone, Ill be adding some apps to make the phone seem more froyoish on the title post that the user can download tomorrow as well, they are currently in an earlier post.

No to get the radio update you need to first flash to the 1.6 OTA. The reason I didnt include it is if I did a one package than you are flashing your phone every time, if I included a phone file there is a bigger margin for error.
 
I think i broke my phone...


I flashed it with odin, did the OPS, and put the md5 file in PDA. and it passed.

But while it was reseting on the odin my phone just stayed on the "samsung" logo at start up. it flashed for a sec then 30 seconds later it just turned off.

I tried turning it on by pressing end button but nothing happend.
I took off the battery then put it back on, then i pressd the end button again, it turned on but it just stays in the "samsung" logo and it turns off again.

Something i did wrong?
 
I don't like 1.5.

But i'ma flash to 1.6 ota ROM. But can you help me on getting storage memory back?? Like in steps
 
I think I may be done with this phone. I'm going to reflash one more time, as I'm getting force closes and such. I'll try it one last time.

What's the best way to do this stable?

Flash back to 1.5 stock first?
Then this?

Or, 1.6 stock?

Give me a step by step on how to best make this phone awesome and stable.

Thanks for all the work you've put into it up until now. I hope I can like it, in the end.
 
Flash to 1.5 ota then 1.6 ota then my rom would make it the most stable, you could clearn the dalvik-cache and probably avoid problems.

What dat? and how do I do it?

I easily pick up on all this stuff, it's just that I've never seen any of it. I haven't a clue where to look.
