[ROM] 1.6 w/root, barnacle wifi tether and take5 Final | Behold 2

For some reason mine doesn't work. When i press start it just stays as is in "running.."

That's all it does
 
I had that problem at one point, but i forgot how I fixed it, make sure wifi is off, and 3g is connected after your phone reboots.
 
i am having an issue with the VM notification. I cannot clear the icon for the notification bar even though I have no VMs. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix? thanks in advance.
 
did you flash from BH_Man's, stock 1.6 or microhaxo's rom, and there are instructions on how to fix permissions and clear cache on first page

Update: I let the battery drain completely and the phone shut off. Re-charged it over night. Powered up the next day, left myself a VM, checked my VM, and the icon went away. Thanks for the suggestions. Now I just have to figure out apps2sd and I will be stoked.
 
Thers a problem with my bh2..

It's been like that for a while now. and also i think it's cause of the 3g icon thing it's also not picking up any internet or nothing. I can't have access to the market or any of my widgets that need internet to work arn't working cause of not being able to connect to the internt.

Any1 know whats wrong??

Link me too it plz.. i've been looking for it and i can't find it.

Also, i think i need to do that for my phone can get back it's 3g

yes I know the thread is locked. this is probably a problem when you first flashed from galaxy, or is an actual problem with the phone itself, flash back to 1.6 ota which is in the roms list on the all things root page, and if you still have the problem its with the phone, if there is no problem then flash back to mine and let me know
 
however you are missing the updated kernel, while it does work for the best experience it is recommended to flash from one of the roms suggested
 
PLEASE ONLY POST IN MY SUB-FORUM, THIS WILL LEAVE THIS FORUM OPEN TO NON ROM BASED QUESTIONS. EVERY TIME THAT SOMEONE RESPONDS TO THIS THREAD IT GETS MOVED UP ON THE LIST AND SOMEONE THAT MAY NEED HELP GETS DROPPED DOWN.

Just installed this ROM and it works great so far!

Is there any way I can remove the samsung keyboard and also nswplayer? Or do I need those for any reason?
 
you could remove nswplayer, by the keyboard do u mean swype or samsungs default? because i thought I only had skype on there, Though I havent used the rom in a solid month so I cant really remember what all I had on there and not
 
For some reason when I try to uninstall nswplayer, it says "uninstall not successful"... not really sure why.

As for the keyboard, I mean samsungs default. It might have come from me flashing back to stock 1.6, then flashing to this rom... how can I remove it?

you need to remove it thru adb. both of em
 
adb devices
adb shell
# cd system/app
# rm -r Appname*
or
rm -r nswplayer*
rm -r touchinput*

note that is all based on memory and is probably not right so use astro to find the correct names or the list command in adb shell
