Sweet! I agree, it's a really great ROM so far. It's definitely made the wait for CM much more bearable.

And hell, really, from what I've been hearing about the awesome stuff Adryn did for the Dinc, I may end up just sticking with his stuff in the long run.

Ok, let's bump this. V 1.3 was released with an OC kernel that flies! Flash over 1.2 or 1.2.1 no wipe of anything. New tweaks, market, if you flash it, you won't be sorry.

^^^^^^^Beat me to it. :D

Just installed 1.3 over 1.2. Got 1958 on first Quadrant run after boot. This ROM is freakin' AWESOME. I got over 7 hours on 1.2 and still had 40% battery left. If 1.3 gets anything close to that I'll have to change my shorts.
 
Welcome Jim. I OC'd to max on this in setcpu, adrynalyne said it shouldn't affect battery life or get overheated. I just wish he would smartass down to 128, but I'm sure at some point he will. I have a Protekk kernel alpha build he just put out on irc, but I'm reluctant to install it just yet as this thing is fast.
 
1.3 is BADASS!! Seriously. Nice mild but stable and fast OC, lots of great screen transition eye candy, etc.

It's so good, download it NOW. =)
 
I'm liking it so far, I have it overclocked to the 1.2 on smartass and a profile down to 245 for screen off . I'm pretty sure battery life is going to take at least a mild jump for me.

The ADB root was long but super easy . I just had my laptop with all the files I needed and my Gtab running the step by step youtube video next to it. Took a little over an hour but I was being very slow and careful .
 
Nice!!!! Installing 1.3 now... Loving this ROM!

Ok just flashed it, liking it... Does anyone know if there is a way to get the old circle battery that was on 2.1? I loved the look of that one, this one is different. Not sure where the 2.1 circle battery came from.
 
Great work Jim. It took me about that time too, I was very careful reading and rereading. Nerve wracking for a while especially on step 6.

Yeah ska.. this rom, this phone is awesome. My DI feels like a toy.

I haven't used my phone much yet today and just looked at it and it's down to 50% after 3hrs up and only 40min awake . So I clocked it back down to 1ghz ,

I'll have to play around with settings that's the worst battery life I've seen on this phone to date .

Make sure and get your battery fully charged, then reboot into CWR, wipe the battery stats, and reboot. Should help. =)

(Any time you reflash, you should wipe your battery stats.)

I completely overlooked this . I always use to on my DI . I'll d othat with a fresh battery when I get home from work.

I also noticed that I had a lot of things syncing WAAYYY more then usual , so I changed those settings .

I think my setup was just not right
 
I forget to wipe my battery stats pretty much every time I flash, until I'm like, "Dang, battery life is kinda sucking... D'OH!"

So I haven't looked at the thread over in XDA today (other then to download 1.3), does anyone know if there is a post that has a link to the old circle battery that was in 2.1? I loved the looked of that one, don't know why they changed it...
 
I'm going to flash this in a few minutes, just wanted to clear a couple things up real quick. Coming from Virus to 1.3, do I have to wipe data? I saw something about not wiping so I'm not sure. Which kernel comes stock in this build, the 1.2ghz O/C or the 1.9? The 1.9 Kernel is crazy good! I finally got my battery back. Off charger at 8am, light use, WiFi all day 10 hours up sitting at 74% :D I'm almost afraid to flash a different ROM because I'm so happy with my battery right now

yep the one on 1.2... I guess I could go into the 1.2 zip and find the icons and modify the service.jar but would like a simple metamorph or zip for it. :P

Nandroid!! I also heard about the no wipe but I'm not sure if that was for going to a version within the same rom. If it's not too much trouble I'd wipe totally. The kernel by default is the 1.2 OC and I'm getting great batt life. You can keep it at 1024 or OC it. Flash the 1.9 back if it kills the batt. I've been running just fine with the OC but I'm just still into the playing stage.

I went to the kitchen and it worked great. Gave it to 2 others in IRC and they had success too. It's not intuitive but someone walked me through it and I can do the same for you. I'll get the link in a few and edit this.

The way to do it is extract the framework-res.apk to your HD as they instruct. Then to to the kitchen tab -> battery. Click use this mod then SCB %. Scroll down to glowing crysis at the bottom and click it. Then go to the file upload tab upload your own files and point to your .apk on your HD. After the upload go back to summary and submit the work to the kitchen. Let it go.. it will give you a download link of about 3.38 MB. Backup your rom and flash the zip. Good luck.

You're on 1.3 right? Make sure you use the framework from that download.

Forgot ALL about the kitchen! I used to use it all the time when I had my Eris. I just whipped up a pretty sick task bar. I wish you could pull different icons from different packs, but still awesome for being free
