Root [ROM][4.1.2]AWE Inspired Moonshine White/Ginger V2.9a Final[Works with stock device]

So is this going to just be an update from the previous build, or another update to wipe my phone completely? Just wondering before I download.

Yes all future updates will automatically wipe data to eliminate errors due to incorrect formatting, residual files, etc...:)

That's what I was afraid of. I'll stick to my current build then cuz I have no WiFi and it eats my data to reinstall everything.

U can use titanium backup to backup ur current apps then re download it after updating to restore ur apps :)

Hey devs, I just thought it to be note worthy that the latest update of the White moonshine version has seemed to fix my audio. I haven't noticed any pops or cracks, or skips. I can use Viper4Android just fine and the music sounds good. It seems weird to me that something simply based off the same stock stuff we've been working with would fix the audio problem, but maybe there was some conflicting things in the system.

Could you give me a quick tutorial on how to do so?

You want to just make a backup (nandroid) of the current Rom you're on and then go do your wipes and formats to prepare to install your new Rom. Once you install the new Rom, you can go back into recovery and your backup will be hanging out, just go into [backup&restore] choose [advanced restore] it'll give separate options on which partition to restore singularly, you want the [data] one. This will bring back all your previous Roms, data and apps and stuff without messing up your system. ***you may want to consult someone as to whether or not you should format the data partition first, before you restore*** Also you will want to wipe cache and dalvik cache before you reboot your phone with the restored data.

im using 2.6 as is with srs off and no other audio mods and i still got probs, but it just happens rarely during normal use that im not even bothered anymore. quick test i do is just running my finger across the capacitive buttons back and forth real fast and i get that dreaded bzzzt sound within the first 5-15 seconds.

The audio issue is not a rom issue as my device has done it since new, im guessing a driver issue as if u run a log cat there are audio device strategy errors

E/AudioPolicyManagerALSA(267): getDeviceForStrategy() strategy 5, device 80 found a bunch of errors like this. I haven't been able to find anything for this yet

The (267) is what they all have in common so I'm searching for an answer and hopefully I can help somehow

After some quick research it appears to be deprecated audio drivers at the kernel level. Thanks ZTE...you never fail to be the source of the problem.
