Cosmetically I'm starting to feel satisfied, as is Earl. At this point there will likely be incremental updates and UI refinements. When/if we get a stable custom kernel that may shake things up a bit.

Agreed at this point its about detail eg: various ui tweaks layout enhancements etc... Not too many more functionality enhancements. Hopefully a stable custom kernel comes along
Is there any way to add the Google launcher to the 2.6 ROM? If yes, how?
Check op I added launchers

I would like to get together on Hangouts/irc sometime this weekend and go through the git to hopefully have cdz/rb/you/stark/Phoenix help me understand the commits and get what I need to MAYBE start to work out the kinks on the kernel...
I will be risking my personal device for the cause
I've been on irc a bit and rb and Zach have been mia for a while lol, once phenom gets a dev device I think things will move along pretty quick

Regarding the existing kernel I think if it defaulted at the stock 1.2 and was incrementally increasable it'd work better with the majority of devices. (Omitting GPU OC and any other frills)

Figures lol. I will donate to him a few bucks tomorrow once I get paid for flashing a Galaxy Nexus. Hopefully hell have enough soon
On the subject of flashing, I've poked around a bit on my device and may have found a way to do so with our phone...don't hold me to it, but I've been really curious on that for a long time. Virgin is killing me with its plan/service in my area. I just need to test a few things with DFS

Yeah, rb/cdz never got it to lock at the default values. Hoping to get that done first before we work on the rest of it

Yeah, I have to apologize. The last four weeks have made it hard for me to be online. The first week I had a conference, the second week I was without internet while the house had a new floor installed, week three was me getting back into the swing of schoolwork and now we're into week 4, and I'm finally finding time to get back on the computer.
Even I've been suffering from my lack of time on the computer! My phone has been running a kernel with broken wifi pretty much the last three weeks because I just haven't had enough time to get on the computer!
I do still have a major paper to finish writing that is due next week, and a presentation (not so major) that is due the week after, so I won't be completely active yet, but I will be here. My room is a trainwreck after all this, and I still need to set up my 'new' build computer. >.> I need to get a vga->rgb cable to hook it up into the 'new' tv I'm using. (The damn thing is tiny! 15"! But that's what you get when you're broke and taking hand-me-downs, I guess.)

As far as getting the kernel to default to something, I dunno. Even the stock kernel doesn't do that. You don't notice it because it's maxed at 1.2 rather than higher. I could copy a function from another kernel that checks a config file when the phone turns on, which sets the kernel to a higher/lower max setting. I could also set it up where it has the max setting set as a bootcommand arg in the boot.img, which i've tested it to be working.
I'll be back in the game here shortly. Sorry for my absence! Also, it hasn't been THAT long! It's only been, what, a month?
Edit: Cuz yeah, I have the OC stuff all set, I just haven't had time to put it all together.

Is it possible to fix this so that the numbers are not cut off? I know it is not a big thing, but I want to know if it is possible.
So is this going to just be an update from the previous build, or another update to wipe my phone completely? Just wondering before I download.
