Nice one. I'm amped to try the AOKP. So does it look like the stock Spec rom? I ask, because the AOKP for the Transformer had all the transformer stock apps and essentially looked stock. It was confusing, since I thought AOKP was based of AOSP.

BTW, is this the ICS or JB build of AOKP? I ask because both are available and it will determine which gapps we dl.

AOKP looks like ... AOKP. :) Its main claim to fame is being very customizable.

I haven't added any stock apps yet, but I might in the future.

This is AOKP milestone 6. It's pretty much the last ICS code before the developers switched to JB. I will be working on CM10 and AOKP41 soon.

Where does the name "Quattrimus" come from?

It's from when I started doing ICS ROMs for the VM670 (Optimus V). The developer "lupohirp" on xda was the first to successfully get ICS going on that phone, which was quite an accomplishment as support for the old ARMv6 CPU was officially dropped by Google in ICS. He is from Italy and quattro is Italian for 4, which is the version number for ICS. So I mashed up quattro and Optimus to make Quattrimus to pay homage to his great work. :)

Nice. So did you keep the aosp look or did you customize it at all? I don't care either way, I rather like aosp for ICS... The aokp for the Transformer threw me for a loop, though. I did expect a stock looking rom.

I'm loving this so far. I'm using my fascinate as my DD so I can't test SMS and calls.

MrB. The only difference between cm and aokp are basically just customization.

Does anyone know why none of my music players will see my music?

I'm attempting to start on the ROM I'm building. But I want a working music player in it before I get too far into it

I've used multiple file explorers with no problems. They all see all my files. Plus call of duty black ops can see the SD files. But I can't get music to work. I've never seen anything like this
yea I can adb shell > cd sdcard just fine, get to it with install rom in ROM Manager, and see it in settings > storage. Not tried any other apps as I havent installed gapps yet. ;)

Its probably a simple fix. I blame LG. And you should try the blacked out gapps. They look amazing on the spec

try darkjelly by djdarkknight ;)

And the sdcard is mounting fine, the Gallery even sees my pix on my sdcard & even saved the screenshots I posted on my to it. ;)

It mounts, but I find I can't restore apps with rtb. I don't know if that's an issue with the backups (though I was restoring the app only, no data) or with the rom, but I can access other stuff on the sd card.

Sorry, i thought i read somewhere that the SD cards didnt mount.

I'm wanting to say that was the before the first build was released. Because I remember reading that somewhere too

So far battery life on aokp is holding up nicely. Its not activated. But airplane mode is off and its just using WiFi and screen at full brightness. Only dropped 20% in 2 hours. Better than what I get on stock

I tested out AOKP and dammit all if I don't love that boot animation to death.

I noticed it, like CM9, set the network to nv, instead of sim, so I had to manually change it before it would recognize the sim card. The phone actually tried to call *228 to activate, which was hilarious because the keyboard doesn't pop up.

It seems like aokp is a bit slower than cm9. Am I correct or is that just my experience?

i haven't flashed aokp yet on my spec. but when i had the fascinate and i flashed aokp that shit was hella slow compared to cm9.

I just setup face unlock for the first time ever. Yeah I'm slow lol. Seems to work fine on this ROM.
