Root [ROM][ALPHA] Quattrimus ICS (CM9, AOKP40)

I have had issues with data on both of them. CM9 seemed to do better but aokp dropped for good as soon as I turned data off once. CM9 went strong for about 2 days for me and then data was gone and I couldn't get it back unless I wanted to wipe /data partition.

Hmm. Well I've been using it for a few hours a d no issues. Aokp is going well, but the aokp statistics notice keeps popping up, even if I allow stats. Kinda odd.

Don't know if this was covered, but Google location doesn't work either... Well, related to mobile data, anyway. Wifi location works perfectly.

That's probably caused by the same issue as mms and gps not working. I'm sure a logcat would help find the issues as to why data-based location isn't working. I'm not sure exactly which command you would use for it though. It may be 'adb logcat -b radio > radio.log' You would have to confirm that with one of the devs though.

GPS on CM9 doesn't work because the files needed are not all there. Once you start placing the files in, you start getting errors left and right. Wifi location works because at one point you (or someone else) successfully told google where that Wifi AP was in relation to the world and now it knows where you are.

Not exactly. Google uses Skyhook, which is a a company that maintains an ISP-supplied (and reverse dns hacked) list of geolocation to ip addresses.

Thx for the info on the gps... It's a shame we can't at least get network location to play nice.

Anyone know why data crapped out and now all I can get is 3g?

Will do. It looks like it went into gsm and won't go back, so I'm going to cab back to v7 and try jb.
I was on AOKP and really had no issues til I went to work, where there's a weak 3g signal. I love that boot animation tho.
