Root Rom and recovery help

ok so i have a rooted and romed lg optimus v and a friend wanted me to the same for his m so i want to know:
best rom for stability and speed
best recovery
what do i need to wipe when flashing the rom
any errors i might encounter and how to fix them


i plan on rooting using gingerbreak and he has 2.2.1 android on his phone

There is only one recovery for us. You have to wipe all user data before flashing and as for the ROMs, there are alot of them so it alll depends on your preferences. I can provide you links to litterally everything if you like.

I like the sense rom myself, very clean!!!

one correction, there are 2 custom recovery's, joneidy created one based on the 2.2 recovery but its slightly rough and unfinished seeming but it worked until a 2.2.1 recovery was made.

So now you have joneidy's and the getitnow recovery. I would go with the second though.

I have flashed the getitnowmarketing recovery to my phone. I started life with Android 2.2, but the recovery works just fine on my phone.
