Root [ROM] Android 2.2 FroYo - Brought to you by MDW (OC & Flash 10.1!)

OK, seriously, am I the only one who can't run this ROM? Tried again w/the updated 1GHz kernel, same issues, flashed back to the stock kernel, same issue. Just can't run, phone keeps locking up.

I'm getting worried - I could never run the previous versions of JIT - could the built-in JIT in this ROM be a deal-breaker for me?

So no one else is having any issues with this ROM?

Generally going to Problems and Update Busybox fix most TB issues. I suppose you could always Fix Permissions w/ ROM Manager.

just tried to fix permissions with rom manager and it said it failed to run the script

idk whats going on. any suggestions?

you know rooting was super easy

gonna test 2.2 and then go back to stock 2.1 for the actual OTA update

Thanks for the Flash and kernel links Fabo.

Wow, I just installed ADW instead of the default launcher... Big difference.

Fab updated his OP to include direct DL links via Media Fire for the ROM (both Nandroid for CW and Nandroid for SPRecovery), 1.0 GHz Kernel, and Adobe Flash.

Ditto! Thanks Fabulous!

I agree with the comment about LauncherPro and Froyo being a perfect match. I'll play with ADW later to see how it compares but this ROM is so fast at 800MHz...I can't wait to try 1GHz! Installing now :D

Thanks to everyone that had a hand in this! Much appreciated!

I run the server that mdw is hosted on.... the traffic is just well, beyond belief lol

I have tried several times to turn the site back on... but ya we were not ready for 10,000 users every few minutes lmao

I have posted both the links on the site for the time being.... but with database traffic and this many hits, we are not able to keep the load under control. I will try every few minutes and see how it goes but so far after 5 attempts to bring it online the traffic is insane.... and way too heavy for one server. :)

Sorry for the trouble guys. We were stable until we went over 10,000 users in a 15 minute window.... after that it's time for a cold one and wait it out. lol

Well, ADW is certainly faster than the default, but the drawer is really buggy on 2.2, I think I'm gonna try LauncherPro instead as well.

I've been running NexBeast at 800Mhz for awhile now but I might give this one a try for the day..

I do have one noob question of the day tho. Is there a way to change the system font to the one Fab uses in NexBeast? Seriously, I love this font!:D

would you guys say its pretty stable? I just got CM5.0.7.1 installed on my phone a few days ago and wanna try 2.2 but not if its buggy and rebooting. Any one using this ROM as there primary one?

This is ridiculous..
Thanks P3 Fab...its so fast. Transitions are quick with the quickness. I'm running it at 900 with launcher pro.
How about that new click sound to unlock and lock screen, power/end.
Ah the little things..

Hey guys, in case you haven't heard, p3 has released a bunch of new kernels to fix the wi-fi on the 2.2 rom. He posted them on MDW, but as its down now and I had already grabbed em, I just uploaded them to an alternative site. Let me know if you want a mirror and I'll try to get it done.

Yes. It is stable like the rooted ESE81 ROM was when it was first released. It's completely stable...but needs a theme and some "goodies" :D

I too felt like you when I woke up (at 1:00pm...oops :)). I felt happy with the ROMs I was running but this is pretty cool stuff! Give it a whirl (you can always revert but I'm guessing that you will never run another 2.1 ROM again :D)

All the overclock kernels are now available in the OP.

Thanks to dodger55fan for helping me complete my collection :D
