Root [ROM] AOSP BURNTH3ORy

Still at 68% at 254 MHz. I did notice that the governor (smartass) essentially ignores the every other slot.

Some more data: I overclock to 1.4. I did not use speedtweak or vipermod at all. I used Incredicontrol for voltage adjustments. I used the CM setting to set the governor and the min/max clock speeds.

I'm now on DTs modded leankernel, and it seems to be scaling 245 on smartass. However,I think I've given up some smoothness. :( I think maybe I'm goin back to eclipse

Probably because your phone isn't stuck at max. Do you remember the performance governor in setcpu? Same effect.

Have you tried different governers?

I bet that if Scottie put his governor on performance he would see comparable results to the eclipse kernel.

I'm gonna stick with the kang bang kernel found in the store and see how it goes tomorrow. It seems to perform a little better than imo's and it sits at my min at rest.

Yup,tried different governors. Performance wasn't an option on modded leankernel... just interactive, ondemand, and smartass. Smartass would scale 245,The others were stuck at Max,and all made my phone run like ass. I'm gonna stick with eclipse, smoothass, and set a screen off profile for now.

well,i set a screen off profile, but effed it up and forgot to lower the max to 245. so this moring 96% of my pie graph is yellow, where it spent most of its time at 768,lol.

One more question, do you guys uninstall phandroid after using it? I am still paranoid about it.

WTF is wrong with my phone? I can't get it to charge to 100% no matter what I do. Can't be the rom, right? Changed kernels, same nonsense. I guess I should flash another rom, like cm7 and see? pain in the royal one.

Just turn off everything in the news catagory, and disable PM notifications, you'll still get a gmail when one comes through so its redundant to have it checking for PMs.

It will show up running in the background but doesn't drain any battery. I get about 20hrs avg with it always showing in running tasks. Didn't change anything when I uninstalled it as an experiment.

Thanks guys. I think something is screwy with the hardware. I flashed a clean rom and still nothing beyond 90%. I'm going to let the battery drain to shut off and charge 'er up again to see if it clears.

Read some stuff about it draining batteries with a rogue background process.

No issues here I don't worry about processes running unless I see abnormal battery drain

Did you wipe battery stats, sounds like a reporting error

Yes I did, multiple times. I've got to let it drain all the way and find out what happened all of a sudden. I even flashed CM7 clean w/ a wipe and same thing. Should be ok, battery is holding fine it's def a reporting error. I pulled it an put it into an external charger and it went blue immediately meaning it had a full charge.

Download battery calibration from the market. It doesn't just wipe the stats it deletes the whole file and lets the ROM re-write it.

It will beep when its at 100%, calibrate and let it drain till it turns off, charge fully without interruption and you should be good to go.

Just another idea..

That is actually a good idea! I can't do the without interruption thing (the phone won't let me)

I am really liking this Rom. I'm using the kangbang kernel with dt's mods. It can be located in the store. Battery life is excellent and it's still snappy.

Good idea, I have that app and have used it extensively. But here is the catch 22. I can't get the bloody thing up to 100%. It tops out at 89 or 90% no matter how long I charge it for. So now I'm trying to drain the mutha and this rom won't let me. The battery life is so good that I'm only down to 51% and have been streaming video for 3 hours now. I might just put it on 4G and get off the wireless. 4G should do it. :-)
