[ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [05/23/11]

Flashed the 1/28 build and I don't know how but the ROM feels even snappier than it was before. Props to Aosp for keeping the Hero running like a champ. :D

Yeah...Loving 1/28 -

Looks like a 1/31 or 2/1 is coming....VERY VERY soon
more AOSP Tweaks....

I'm anxious to see if there are some tweaks, but frankly my Hero has never ran as efficiently as it does on this ROM, even out of the box. Amazing work, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Swype isn't working with Handscent. The blue box around the keyboard lights up but nothing happens unless you physically type. Bummer. 1/28 build.

I've away a bit... I see you've made the GB leap. Is it your daily now? Have the lads solved you conference call issues? :D

the only reason I haven't taken the plunge, is that I feel I've only just gotten 2.2 they way I really like it in the last week. just got Firerat's partition mod workin and just discovered the joys of launcher pro. thought i wouldn't tweak for a bit...

of course both, Firerat's mod and LP, i'd take with me into 2.3....

what i need to come to terms with is that in the fragmented world of Android, to stay current, the tweaking will never end...

By the way, I did find that I have BusyBox installed after using Z4Root. You can tell that you have it if you go into Terminal Emulator and type "su" and then type "busybox" and if it comes up with the giant list of commands, you have it. ;)

I figured I would offer up that information. Now I just need to figure out how to install the flash_image utility because I do not have that. :)

ok i just flashed the CM GB last night and today i have flashed a new kernal Download adnan@Decad3nce-DecaFuct #589 768mhz and also i changed the /system/etc//init.d/30cpumem and set the max freq to 710400 and i also flashed Personal Modded collin_ph BatteryTweak V2. oh i almost forgot i did the firerat mem mod and gave me 360ish internal storage.

but anyway i flashed all that stuff im a little confused on the battery tweak is it supposed to be an app or just files that the system uses to set freqs cuz i can not find an app to change anything

also i just run a benchtest and it still says 691 not the 710

I had the same issue the first time I had flashed, then I Nandroid back and flashed GB again and have not had an issue since

Everytime I install a Gingerbread rom my home and call button doesn't work, anybody else have this problem?

Still getting the odd reboot, VM heap is set to 24 and no pattern, somethings when using GPS, sometimes will reboot on notification slide down, sometimes moving between screens

Your going to laugh but for kicks and grin I decided to jack the VM Heap to 36 and no reboots as of yet, so I will see, LOL

Hmmm Was gonna say - maybe your processor was starting to go...but shouldn't hit 691......

lemme think don

I have RA 1.2.7 will CM recovery install over this no problem? I need the latest CM to flash the latest AOSP GB right?
Good to see this progress this ROM is making. Excited to try it out. Any major issues (compared with 9.9.9.2?)

I believe that using CM is recommended, but not required. I am running GB with no issues off of my RA 1.5 recovery. Maybe I'm just lucky, I don't really know. However, I have just never felt the need to change my recovery since this one seems to work just fine for my needs. That being said, I'm only responsible for my phone, and YMMV.

I'm not surenif you found your answer, but to access the tweak you need to download terminal emulator from the market and open it and enter the following commands followed by enter:

su
batt-cfg

When the list of items comes up press 3 and enter to accept. Follow the prompts and adjust the settings to your liking. The first two settings are recommended and are default. You will need to then adjust the clock speed of the phone. So be sure to disable overclock widget or setcpu, whichever you use.
