[ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [05/23/11]

Hmm, I guess I need to research it more. I appreciate your answer though and your private message replying to this question as well. :)

I would have thought that the battery stats would be kept along for the ride in what files the Nandroid backs up, but maybe not. Do you tend to recalibrate your battery stats every time you flash a new ROM or restore a Nandroid, andygu3?

They may still be stored in that nandroid but I know when you wipe the phone it resets those battery stats

I normally do not recalibrate my battery stats all that often considering I flash enough roms that the phone never really has time to set in. I do recalibrate the battery stats when I know I won't be messing with the phone for a while, ie vacation;) Fortunately, I have access to a charger all day long so my phone never really gets below 30%

I think this new release has been the best for me, even the TV animation thing isn't laggy......great job AOSP, keep up the great work :)

It feels pretty stable. I'm just running info see pretty annoying bugs and it seems like I'm the only one getting them from what I've read.

Whenever I use the notificationock widget and leave the lock screen turned off for a long time, I have to reboot to get the lock screen to work again. I can't download anything from the Internet (updates). And if I watch it video online, that's the only one it'll let me watch. It wong load anymore.

There is a work around on the video - look on xda -
SHOULD be fixed in the next build - Killalmedia is getting bogged down with cahce

Can't help you on the other 2

Thanks again to xda developers (a different thread) - this is the set up if you want a link to your yahoo mail on your phone: The previous one stopped working - here is the resolution. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

If I download ClockWorkMod Recovery 3.0.0.5 will it flash CM recovery over my RA 1.2.7 - or do I have to do something special since I already have an RA installed? I am assuming I have to install CM to flash AOSP GB

You have to open Rom Manager, then on top it will say flash a recovery, click that and it will flash a recovery

I don't know if its a CM bug or if its from the app, but when I play the tunein app, my music player starts playing randomly.

I have the 2-21 release and it's INSANELY slow and jaggedy. It's like using an old 486 computer to run WoW. (If that gives you an idea of what swimming in Jello is like)

Is it ok to assume that going through with 2-22's release will fix this?

Also... I'm using RA... I take it clockwork is reccomended? The only issue I had with clockwork is the fact that it's a bugger if I ever need to go back to stock for those times where I really fubar my phone

I have not had any issues restoring Nandroids with ClockworkMod Recovery. If you do, you can always flash Amon RA Recovery back and use that to Nandroids you made with it.

The 2/22 release supposedly fixes GPS issues and reduces the internal space usage. It may alleviate your problems.

Probably user error.. there are days where I could screw up a two car funeral procession... having said that, today is that day...

I just loaded 2/22 and now when I boot up and get the "Touch the android" screen I touch him and the phone reboots.... reloading the software again and hopefully this time it works

Still wont properly boot. Re-loaded the 2/18 and it works fine. Any ideas?

You might have a corrupted ROM file. Try to download it again from the source.

It is pretty rare, but it does happen. See if that helps.

user error FTW... I was installing the wrong verson of the google apps

FAIL Boat full steam ahead...

now lets see if this fixes my jaggedy issues that I was having with 2.21

LMAO. Hey, we all have those days when the small things get to us. Are you buy chance using an overclock manager like setcpu or ocverclock widget? Only reason I ask is because the settings could be causing the phone to be laggy as you described. Just a thought.

Hope the problem is fixed for you so that you can enjoy the full potential of the phone.

Anyone got details on the different governors? The default is interactive, just wondering what everyone's using.

I use On Demand. It seems to have the best compromise between speed and battery life for my handset.

Just a note, if you ever want to run benchmark tests, set it to Performance. The On Demand settings takes some CPU cycles to respond and thus lowers the scores.
