Root [ROM]Black Plague w/ Plague Kernel

Just followed the guide you posted and it worked like a charm went from ZVB to ZVD. I might be helpful to mention that I did not wipe and data or cache. So everything is the way I had it before I upgrade. I leave another post to let you know if it's faster, more stable and the battery life consumption. Thanks again to those that replied. :D

Im on zvb and im using this rom once u flash it and it boots back up go back into recovery and wipe all user data and reboot and ur good to go.

First I'd like to say thanks to PG for the awesome ROM! And now on to the problem I'm having with it...

I've been running this ROM for several days at 1.9GHz now and it's been great. However, today I decided to try my bluetooth headset with it and started noticing problems immediately. As soon as I enable bluetooth the System process jumps way up and stays between 30-50% and the governor stays at max speed. The headset connects and disconnects too quickly to try it on a call. I sporadically get messages saying com.android.bluetooth has stopped or something to that effect. If I disable bluetooth again, everything goes back to normal and works fine.

So, I tried deleting my pairings and wiping any data related to bluetooth services and then I rebooted the phone. Still the same problem. It detects the device with no problem, it just doesn't seem to work past that.

Anyone else having a similar issue? I'll be sticking with this ROM for now either way because it rocks, but I figured I'd mention it in case there is something that can be fixed.

i wiped data after first boot because the notification bar was missing on first boot but after i
wiped user data and reboot its there. Maybe because im on zvb still i dont know lol.

Just wanted to share my experience.
Great ROM upload PG and many thanks to your contributions.
Followed all documentation instructions.. and completed loading the ROM successfully. Quick and great rom, but after the second day of use I had to revert back to my stock rom for several reasons.
My phone would freeze up & reboot randomly on several occasions... mostly when using the browser on java sites in PC mode. I also had an issue with receiving messages when the phone was off. When I reverted back to the stock rom.. I eventually got all those messages instantly. (Wouldn't retrieve any messages when phone turned back on w/ custom rom)
any inputs?

LG ESTEEM Running ZVD

I was wondering if black plague uses V6 SuperCharger and if I should bother with it. I have been running this rom for about a week and it's been good I tweaked some of the memory settings in rom toolbox and it works great. I use the application manager that comes with the rom to keep the number of running applications low and it runs really snappy. I also want to mention that I use chainfire 3d and I have 16 bit textures enabled, makes it run fast with very little degrading of graphics seems to be a good trade off for me. Anyway, just looking for some feedback. Thanks again PG!

Edit: running ZVD, 1.9mhz

i was playing around in in system/etc/init.d and while reviewing the 20gvrn file i noticed what may be a syntax error. Not sure if its important or not but on the last line it says "# echo smartass2"....etc....should it not be "#echo smartass2"?

# represents a comment, aka everything with a # doesnt get read by the device. ;)

In other words, to set one of the other governors using the init.d script, one would uncomment ( no #) which ever govnr they wanted n comment (with a #) the rest ;)

well, perhaps i should have waited for a reply before i just went and changed mine! ive been a bit ballsy lately..perhaps my way of subconsciously trying to brick my phone so i can have an excuse to get the connect

I wouldnt do that, the connect although a nice phone, dont have much over the esteem. Dual core yes, but that just about it.
