Root [ROM]Black Plague w/ Plague kernel

my issue with the gallery is a weird one, pictures show up that I have deleted out of my gallery a long time ago. They are showing up as single pics labeled instant upload, so they are from Google+ which I don't even have on my phone right now. I don't have a problem sharing these pics, but I can't delete or crop these pics. My other folders of pics that I normally have don't show up in my gallery but they do in Quickpic and all these pics in Gallery don't show up in QuickPic. Also in my Gallery I have folders of pics from every phone I've ever had but I can't delete them. When I look at the DCIM on my card to delete them, they don't show up. weird. It doesn't bother me, I don't really care, I'm glad I have QuickPic so I have the pics that are recent, I just thought this was weird.
It does seem that when I have a problem it works itself out in a day or so. I never have all these problems that others have. When I do have a major a problem it's a problem of my own doing.

I would like to know what other's internal memory is looking like? How much internal memory do y'all have? what of what?

i am having the same issue with pictures music and videos not showing up in music player gallery and video player , after checking sd card and verifying they are still there, pulling battery etc etc still nothing shows up

It's picasa. Just go into settings>accounts and sync and look through your accounts. Just disable picasa web albums
 
Few bugs -
Random reboots. I don't have my phone overclocked, it's at the standard 1.2 always, and it has rebooted on me live 5 times since I installed this rom the day after it came out. Three of those times while I was in a call.

The gallery issue started yesterday, when I was trying to access a picture and the gallery was empty except for a screenshot I had just taken. I took out the sd card like 10 times and they still didn't show up. Then I downloaded two different aftermarket gallery apps and they wouldn't show my images either. I then took out the battery, replaced it, and rebooted and my pictures showed up. Weird.

And since I downloaded this rom, my ringtones have been changing randomly no matter how many times I set them. And with two of my contacts, when they call the phone vibrates without stopping and weird creepy white noise starts playing. And it's only those two contacts, other contacts play either the ringtone I set or a random ringtone that the phone chooses.

Other than that it runs smooth and stuff, but the ringtone thing really throws me off :P

I just went to check & I don't have picasa listed. Just yahoo mail, google, Facebook & drobbox is listed but the sync is turned off.
 
Random, I know. Perhaps you can help me. Im trying to ROM my Connect to BrokenOut. I have BrokenOutConnect1.0 on my SD card according to ROM manager...when I reboot into recovery the phone reboots normally and I never get to CWM menu, any ideas? Ive looked around but I cant seem to find anyone else with this problem.

i have a question... does anyone know which lib file is required for stock hime keyboard? there doesn't seem to be a libjnipinyinime file anywhere.. lol
 
I am also getting the quick reboots when trying to install apps. I can go to the store and download but as soon as it says installing the phone quick reboots. happens on any app. Also had one quick reboot the first time i opened Rom Toolbox.

For me i went straight from stock- rooted to BPv1.2, and i choose both clear data and dvlak cache.

I just restored the back up, and am flashing BPv1.2 again without clearing cache per a suggestion earlier in the thread.

I'll keep fooling with it, i am new to Android.

update: restored my backup then reinstalled BP1.2 without clearing data or cache, everything seems to be working fine now.
 
One other thing was that i wasn't crazy about the AOSP Lockscreen.....or at least i guess that is why the pattern lock buttons look plain. I kind of preferred the stock pattern lock buttons. But no matter really I am looking for a lock screen with some functionality.

I tried Holo Locker, and the camera function is good because it returns to the lock screen, unlike other lock screens apps. But i couldn't get security to work though others have.

Magic Locker was almost perfect. except
a) it and Holo Launcher wanted to be set as default... which created some odd behavior for Holo Launcher when pressing the home button....I guess the simple solution is to set Holo Launcher to do nothing for Home Button, but not sure if there would have been any other conflicts.
b)if you allow Magic Locker instant access to your shortcuts it circumvents/bypasses any security lock, this was the major drawback, and defeats security.

Haven't really found a Go Locker one that i like yet.

I contacted mobint to let them know about the issue with Holo Locker, and the conflict between Holo Launcher and Magic Locker.

I need to contact lockscreen.mobi to let them know about the shortcuts bypassing security....if the Holo locker can return to lock screen from camera, i don't see why Magic Locker couldn't.
 
Let me start by breaking down what i have.
I dirty flashed Black Plague 1.2 because it was having issues installing apps with a clean flash. After that all was fine. I explored the Holo Launcher that was included, and i enjoy it very much, the only things i didn't like were the pop up menu, and the lack of screen transitions.

I realize Holo Launcher is a no frills type ICS clone meant for effecientcy, but I liked the transitions of Go Launcher, so i found an ICS theme for it. The only thing that Go Launcher lacked was the "folder preview" that Holo had which shows the apps stacked in the folder.

However that isn't really specific to the Connect.

I did try Magic Locker as well and it didn't seem to get along with Holo Launcher.
So i am using Go Locker now.

Now here is the thing specific to the Connect. The stock ROM with native music app will show a pull down music widget on the lock screen but only if music was already playing when locked.....but even then if you stop the music and the phone locks again, then the widget dissappears.

This seems to affect other music widgets from other lock screen apps as well. Even if the have a music widget always on the lock screen, it won't play until you unlock the phone and start the music, then the widget will work for awhile as long as you don't too long between starting and stopping the music.

I read that Winamp had a lock screen widget, but i downloaded it and it didn't not have one on the Connect/Black Plage default lock screen.

I also can't seem to get the lock screen widgets to work with Google Music Player, just the native LG Music Player. Not that i like Google Music Player anyways.
 
I went back to my BO backup, a lot of issues but still a great effort, camera doesnt work, I have issues updating as it says I dont have enough free space, which I have gigs of free space both on the phone and on the sd card, and the issues already mentioned, I will keep watching this thread for the next release and give it a shot again :)
 
GREAT looking ROM but I think BO is more stable. 9 reboots in 15 mins 0.o

Downloaded v1.1 and it works seamlessly not one reboot yet and I can use the market again. Is there anyway to brighten up the darkened letters ?
 
I got a few reboots after flashing this,a few were caused I believe from having my cpu to high,I used to run it at 700-1800 smartass when on BO.the profiles stuck after flashing BP over.So I dropped it to 1500 cpu max and so far no reboots.Another reboot was caused when i was messing with volume+ app but that was before dropping the speed down.

Lower your min. freq.
700 has to be killing your battery.
Might have to do with rebooting also.

battery life is good,i have used that way and have gotten upto 16h of battery somedays,thing is i have a screen off profile which sets cpu to 386 while screen is off
 
@ PG: ROM works great. It installed perfectly around all of my media as well as apps with zero reboots so far. Only question I have, without sifting through here first, is if anyone else has a battery issue with this ROM. Granted, I'm using the stock 1500Mah battery but this BP seems to be sucking up more battery than the original MPCS firmware did. Maybe it's just some minor power management tweaking I need to do? I'm going to try my 3850Mah battery tomorrow. With that aside, Plague is perfect and I couldn't ask for a better looking/functioning ROM :D :D
