Root [rom] blackao5p v2.2.1 updated 9/19/11

Check ADW settings. Or use a different launcher. I believe when that was first implemented in GO it was "Samsung Style"
 
I am sure there is a way to change it in the settings. I haven't used ADW in a long time but I can't see them requiring you to use it. If no one else has given an answer to the app drawer issues I'll see if I can figure it out on my lunch break
 
anybody know if the included tiamat kernel is already undervolted? i don't want to mess with turning it down any lower if it already is, but a 75 UV would be in order if it isn't.

I don't think so. The voltages for the lower clock speeds were really high, almost a volt.

One of the reasons I dislike Tiamat is because it is so difficult to undervolt properly. The number of voltage slots is excessive and serves no purpose.
Most of them are used only a tiny fraction of the time. To properly undervolt, you need to test each slot for stability, which takes a LOT of time for Tiamat, like over an hour. Screw that. Five to seven slots works just fine and can be fine tuned in 15 minutes. I am sure the idea is that the smaller graduations makes for smoother transitions, but tell me this: have you ever noticed a clock speed transition? I surely have not.
 
IIRC too many people complained of the undervolted version of Tiamat's kernel on a previous DT rom because it was too difficult to overclock (i.e. people like me are lazy and don't feel like bothering to play trial and error with it or they just don't understand all the parts of overclocking and don't feel like learning how to do it properly) so he changed to a higher voltage one so people could overclock and not have as many issues

Has anyone tried flashing the burnt zip or one of the other zip files. He has a new one out called whiteout which looks like a white theme with black highlights, thinking about trying it later if the zips work.

I was also hoping someone would have the gumption to flash burnt to see if it works, although I kinda dig the black/white theme. So after a day I'm thinking this is the best rom out, but my experience is limited.

Yeah I have to agree, this is currently the best rom I think I have ran to date. I see no reason for the zip not to work.

I may have to start acting like worm and creating my own theme. I really like the notification power widget stock but wouldn't mind changing the icons to something black and white instead of the stock icons.
 
If one were to flash burnt, could you then just switch back and forth from the theme chooser without it being a big deal?

Not sure you may have to flash the original rom to get the stock apps back shouldn't need to wipe data and all tho
 
Okay just realized something with this rom. There are several paid applications that are installed with it. ADW EX, SiMi clock widget pro, and Root Explorer. Not sure about any others but if you look at the apk files in the zip ADW and SiMi look like the free version but when installed are for the paid version, Root Explorer doesn't even have a free version.

Yep. I thought I mentioned that in my op. I know i mentioned it about adw. I'm getting this and shift confused I think. Lol.
This is why he couldn't release black on any forum. Only on his personal site.
 
Yeah that makes sense. I try not to use warez and have no intention to pay for ADW EX or SiMi so I will be removing those.
 
I already owned everything but ADW EX which I do not use, so not much of an issue for me.
