Root [ROM] CM10 for Boost SV

wish i could help getting it booted but sadly i dont have the device or know much about htcs. shinru can tell you im no expert even on the brand i dev for lol. what i can do though is provide something for when it does get booted
https://github.com/junkie2100/android_device_zte_aurora/blob/jellybean/prebuilts/etc/apns-conf.xml
those are the proper apn settings for boost mobile lte and mms, keep in mind you will probably need to pull some settings from the system.prop as well for it to work
hope this helps you along your journey guys and best of luck

Thanks! We could for sure use these :) Work on 4.2.2 and 4.3 has hit a brick wall with compilation errors. Simon is waiting for CM for the HTC One VX to drop so we can fork the device sources over to the SV because the two devices are very similar.

So taking a look. I don't think a fork is the way to go. The error is with the kernel. So the only logical thing to do is fix the kernel. I'm gonna star porting the 3.4 kernel into the cm kernel. So to help me out I need each and every one of you to bug htc until they release boost kernel source for the jb Ota. Kernel should allow us to build easier. Also we really appreciate the apns if they don't conflict with anything summit them to cyanogenmod on Gerrit :)

No it is not. I just checked only ics for k2_cl is releases. So by using k2_ul you will have bugs experienced in my custom Ota rom. Almost all the bugs come from the kernel. For this reason the official k2_cl source is needed. Here's a screen shot of their website.... Yeah that's htc refusing to give sources

not a problem, and that would be awesome but i think it MIGHT have to be mcc and mnc adjusted to not interfere with sprint. i used their mcc=310 mnc=120 instead of boosts mcc=311 mnc=870

my lack of understanding how it picked an apn from said list(i can only assume its not just a really good guesser) led to experimentation and when i found what worked i havent touched it since and i dont have the device to test on anyhow. carrier numeric is manually set in build.prop to 310120 and alpha is set to sprint, i assume you know more than i do about the subject though so maybe you know how cm figures out which ones right and how to adjust one properly. but basically i just stole a bunch of buildprop stuff from a samsung and then custom built the apn based on a stock apn backup, the sprint stuff, and some obscure apn i found somewhere on the internet for a different sprint mvno

that kernel stuff does suck though, i know how it is to get jerked around about kernel source. stupid zte memory leak... but anyway, if there is anything else you think i can do to help let me kno, shin knows where to find me

What would happen if I were to flash on cricket? No service? In fact, I'd probably ask them for an SPC if anything. I'm basing this assumption since they're both backing off Sprint as a MNVO. (< ? IDK if true..)

the gates of hell would open and the apocolypse would begin

seriously though flashing a sprint rom on a cricket phone would probably just result in no/bad service. cricket isnt a sprint mvno they have their own network, they may allow roaming on some sprint towers but i dunno how well itd work, and 4g wouldnt work at all without the proper apns

but this is all irrelevant, because it was never made bootable to my knowledge so what it would do on a cricket phone in its current state is the same as what it would do on a boost one, it would cause it not to boot

I thought that was fixed, oh well. I really would like to get rid of Sense. Thanks for clarifying. Cricket, they're..shall I say, ignorant. I've probably used more than the data listed in myaccount. But as long as they don't see, I really don't care. I'm just a wolf, wondering 'bout the ram disks...

well it might work i dunno i dont have an htc one sv. the main issue though is you cant do lte using boosts apn. not even sure if boost does.lte tho

Flashing the cricket rom with the cricket kernel WILL boot, but I would keep the boost kernel and flash the cricket rom. Everything should work just don't flash the radio files or anything.

What Cricket ROM? Stock??

Yes, stock will run on the boost variant. But even if you flash it you would still need to program it. Write a cricket PRL and change the APN's so unless you know how to do all of that i wouldn't really mess with it. But if you wanted to get it flashed over then you could install the cricket rom and then get it flashed.

No lte, may I add. The cricket model has a physical sim
