Root [ROM][CM9 KANG][Alpha] Updated 3.5.5---6/27/12

Hey I test it out are you referring to the 3.2 or 3.3
I have flash 11 on deck
I could watch vids on my 3.2
What I really want is camera f u samsung and the full hw accel

I'm still having problems with the flash and netflixs no biggie ,more worried about the camera and video playback .Then again a cheap camera would do the trick as I love the overall flow of cm9 ;) I've been following and flashing , odining since shabbymod and now am venturing into the whole development area .I'm really impressed you guys have come so far in such a small period of time BRAVO !!!!

THIS WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM

Download Handcent, go in to Send Message Settings and select Split 160 Tap on the option and select simple split.

Also go to Application Setting and select Default Messaging Application. Select All( SMS&MMS). The go to Receive Message Setting and select make sure that Auto-retrieve is checked.

After you've done that, you will need to uncheck the Notification settings and auto-retrieve setting in the stock messaging app or just delete it all together.

The last update for Handcent addressed an issue with the garbled text on Sprint networks. So apparently there really was a problem and they fixed it. Because of the issue with long text as a rule of thumb I also split my text messages JUST IN CASE. It's not really a big deal and some folks actually sorta prefer it when they get the texts.

Sending too many characters = garbled text if using CM7,CM9 or MIUI. I never had an issue sending long text messages until I started running CM7. Sprint may have had a problem at one time but I haven't noticed it the past 3 years that I've been with Boost. The main problem lies within the CM7, CM9 and MIUI ROMs. I'm running CM7 right now. If I switched to stock, I could send long text messages all day long without splitting them. It's been like that since I first started using Boost.

From what I've read from the people that have been running CM7 since it came out, it has always been an issue.

I don't know about you guys but I've noticed that it looks like some networks automatically split their text messages. I know that every time I get a text from someone on the Verizon network that it is split.

Cover my butt for what? Lol just telling the facts. :p:p :D I love me some CM7, CM9 and MIUI. Such a small issue for such an AWESOME ROM. :D

Great ROM...not nearly as jittery as I was expecting for an early ICS release. I have been using 3.2 for about a week with very few issues. Great job Johnny and Hoark!

The only problem I have been having is that the autocorrect dictionary has no words except for my contact names. I checked all of the settings and everything appears to be enabled. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Incremental changes

-added terminal app
-added file explorer
-added a2sd and a2sdGUI
this gives the rom

* swap (virtual memory) support for properly partitioned sd cards ("SSM" Style)

* 6 preset lowmem settings

* user apps and dalvik-cache to sd card

-optimized and zipaligned apps
-optimized ringtones (shaved about 3Mb, kept all tones)
-fixed bootanimation (it cut the 9 off before)

johnny will probably add the bluetooth support and put the merged changes in the OP again. i just wanted to bump the thread. :D

Just wondering if anyone has made any progress getting Katokernel and sd-ext working for CM9?

i just put it up. the cm9 now includes a2sd. and swap if you have your sd partitioned for it. runs pretty smooth. we're still trying to fix the camera and bluetooth.

these are from the same run. i just moved the statusbar and clock.

Ok look. Find the cm9 blade rom. Extract the zip. One done within root explorer go into every and I mean every folder multi select ALL THE FILES.copy ALL OF THEM. GO INTO SYSTEM AND PASTE THE FILES IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FOLDERS. MAINLY THE BLUETOOTH FOLDER WITHIN ETC . YOUR SYSTEM WILL PROMP A MSG SAYING THAT THE FILES ALREADY EXIST. YES THEY DO SO WHAT YOU WANR IS TO PASTE THE MISSING FILES. SELECT THE SKIP BUTTON AND " do this for remaining files. The missing files will paste . The ones that are already there will be skipped. Do thos within all folder e.t.a 15 to 20 mins. Its EXTREMELY SIMPLE. JOHNY IF YOU I CAN CALL U TO EXPLAIN. PM ME. IM NOT BY MY LTOP SO RESPONSE TIME MIGHT BE LING. TRUST ITS SIMPLE. I HOPE TO SEE MY NAME IN THE OP. XD TY GUYS. THIS IS A GREAT PROJECT WE HAVE BEEN ENDOWED WITH.. AYO HIZZYROARK YOU THE SHIZZLE MA NIZZLE.

thanks

edit: copying files blindly doesn't seem like a great solution. also, there are a few alpha, beta, remix, and fusion roms for the blade. which one in particular did you use?

thanks again.

@riflez

apreciate the explination bro but all we needed was which ROM...me and Inigo have been digging through blade ROMS trying to eye up the right files..dont worry bro you'll get your credit..inless a few days from now bluetooth breaks or something lol jk

lol im trying to re read that pm bro but my head is hurting..:D

Lol get a bricked device like I did @riflez

Also if you are copying over just have the zips aide by side in winrar and drag over to the other and not all of them just the ones needed

Lol im learning to make my own rom from the source up

Also why not grab the bluetooth from cm7?
