Root [ROM][CM9 KANG][Alpha] Updated 3.5.5---6/27/12

Yeah its that one . I been diddleling with blade files as well as crecent. Where would the video performance aka armv6 files and hardware accel be? As for wifi icon I don't know wherw the file is either help.
 
I've managed to get bluetooth working through a modified version of Inigo's 3.4 CWM zip. I'm uploading it now but I'm using my tethered internet so it'll take about 15 minutes. I'll also upload screenshot proof.

Since I'm no wizard with CWM zip's I was unable to make just a bluetooth fix zip and I apologize for that so instead it's the full 3.4 With DTA2SD and bluetooth working. I've had a conversation using my headset so I can verify it's working.

Thanks to Johnny for putting the ROM together.
Inigo for the zip I used to slap this all together.
And Riflez for the BT fix information (after searching through your previous posts I found the CM9 ROM you pulled the files from and copied only the neccesary files into the ROM)
And last but not least Hroark for making CM9 possible.

UPDATE: After bluescreening during my first attempt at uploading I'm now 95% done. Should be up any moment now :)

UPDATE 2: Download is now live :D YAY! Enjoy.

Its a known issue... Just install handcent set it to default messenger (application settings) and set it to simple split (send settings)

I didn't even look... I have just always used handcent... I hate ANYTHING stock looking on my phone... Everything is custom/themed :p

Nice, I never even thought to try hitting my settings button in the stock messaging app... I need to start hitting that randomly more often. xD

In the earlier CM9 alphas it was on by default. Easily fixable by all the above.
 
ill take Necros zip and merge the buildprop fixes and apollo...and update the OP....everything els is in 3.4 already thanks to Inigo..good work Necro
 
I have three questions, first ones for @johnny424 could we get a progress report on the camera? Second anyone can answer, I read that after ej06 there is no super one click root method available for the prevail so how are you guys rooting fa19 and installing clockwork recovery? And last but not least is there a video of someone actively using this rom as an daily driver or tutorial?
 
1-lets not talk about the camera..lol..im to tired
2..no one click for fa19.. use odin pre rooted with cwm made by kouma..but its pre bugfix update
3-no tutorial ...i use it faithfully everyday as my driver

i was recently giving a friend the answer to your open question so here goes.

clockworkmod can be flashed any time using odin. updates fail unless stock recovery is in place and no system mods are done. finding a new root exploit takes time.

so ... flash back to stock, take the update, flash clockworkmod, manually root from recovery mode, make odin image of rooted rom, post.

i suppose someone could make a script of the steps taken to attain root and make a 'root.zip' (there was discussion a short time ago about getting the zip from androidsu.com which should accomplish just that) but flashing the whole set with odin is just as easy and you would need cwm back on the device for that to be available again. odin is THE ONLY way to put custom recovery on this device.

more recently koumajutsu has made the upgrade path easier with half-ass rom. it doesn't upgrade the modem, but it'll give you the latest stock rom.

this discussion is smoother over a few yuengs.
 
Well it seems your questions have been mostly answered. As for the camera I'm currently working on it but it's not something we can give a progress report on. Either we get it working or we don't. There really isn't much of an in between because if we get it to initialize it should work.I had made some progress but I forgot to make a backup and wound up bootlooping because of the files I had used, at least when I tried it to start the camera it no longer rebooted the phone but that's not that much of a big step lol.
 
May be an answered question but , the new 3.4 zip does contain Inigo's a2sd correct ? Or do I flash the 3.4 and then Inigo's ? Again I apologize just a little confused lol , thanks in advance :)
