Just pull the battery and turn it back on. Has something to do with the kernel not getting relocated in memory correctly, happens from time to time (usually only when rebooting from recovery after flashing a new kernel/recovery).

thought this would be a fix for this as well as miui, guess its only half a fix.

It does work.. maybe it could've been just the APNs? Anywho I like the simplicity of Cm7 over MIUI and now having mms working, its my Daily Driver.:) camera? Eh no need here so I consider it a full fledged working ROM for me IMO;) Thanks Req and Baby_Jesus for the links.

Just making sure, since you mentioned the camera not working, you know about the temp. fixes for it correct? Also, did you manage to get MMS working without that weird MMS apk? I can bare to use that.

the sending and receiving works fine, it just looks all weird, and the format of the sms gets funky when applied to cm7

oh.... ok... cool... i was gonna tinker with the samsung source... see what prevails... wonder where i can get a cm9 source to try to build? dont u need to use 3.0 kernel?

edit: was reading, drivers are inexistant for cm9, most are not open source :(
 
ok, i booted up my pc for building.... downloaded the whole cyanogen repo (hourz.....:vollkommenauf: )
downloaded https://github.com/requisite0/admire-device-profile,

put it in /devices...

Yea, its just an extra app I wouldn't use anyways. But um, nope I was gonna try to flash over the mms.apk from cm7. Got too lazy. Ill try really quick now and get back to you on that.

Edit: well I managed to change the apk but now my mms sits at "sending..." which I guess its an advance for me? Since before it'll just say "message could not be sent"

Req, this is a beautiful ROM. That you for putting time and effort on the release. Looking forward for further beta versions. There is a bit too much to read from this thread, but so far like many before me have camera problems (which I don't use.) Anywho, thank you for the builds.

One thing I experienced today that I have never had an issue with was sending multi-page messages. I sent my wife a two page message and she got a bunch of garbage. Random assortment of characters. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? O.o

In the msg app, goto settings n set it to split msgs over 120 char.
