Does anyone have an idea when beta-3 will be released. A time frame if you can give it.

These are not the type of questions you ask of a guy who is doing this for free on his own time with maybe a few other people lending a hand with certain things if that.

Just common courtesy for guys who throw these types of ROM's together.

Sorry guys. Work has picked up something serious, so I don't have much, if any, free time at this point. Probably won't for the next week or two. Once this deal is finalized and the product is officially sold, I'll be able to devote alot of free time, and not have to worry about financial stability for quite some time.

I haven't given up, just have to prioritize things for my own wellbeing for the time being.

No prob, thanks for the update!

Good luck i hope all works out. Stability is hard to come by these days especially financial stability.

Sorry but im a little confused with the instructions at the beginning. It says

Flash my CWM Recovery and Kernel package. Both go to one link arnt they separate? Flashing cwm recovery was with odin. Are you suggesting that we somehow use odin to flash the kernal package or is it applied through CWM?? if it is through odin where are the instructions? if it is applied through cwm how is it applied? do i need to wipe everything first?
should I then do it by selecting install zip from sd card, do it as a recovery and navigate to it? or select apply update from sd card?
and which should i select for "installing" the rom and again for the gapps? I assume as it says installing i should select install zip from sd card for the two of them????
Does anyone know?

no, one package. download it, put it on your sdcard
flash it thru your existing cwm, then reboot back into the new CWM recovery

just follow the instructions as theyre applied..try not to overthink it.

I have tried to follow the instructions but they are either ambigoius, incohenermt or missing information. I have looked for the word flash in cwm which i already have installed from a previous root so i dont have to do that again. I cant see anything that says flash though.

First go "http://androidforums.com/admire-all-things-root/488848-odin-clockworkmod-recovery-not-compatible-rom-manager-yet.html#post3847129"
Then download reqs cmw and kernal zip
Put the files on your sd card or download them from your phone
Boot into cmw and select updated from zip and choose the zip
Hope that helps :)

Thanks i got there in the end and managed to get it going on my Vitality. I actually updated this because the GPS doesnt work on my device. Im not sure if its a 2.34 firmware bug or hardware. I heard there is a coding error with 2.3.4. in any event the gps isnt ready on this rom at the moment. So i will put my old one back up and wait till its all ready to go. Im really impressed with the looks of this though, whoever did it deserves praise. I have actually made a posting for the gps issues with my phone.
GPS Works Once (No GPS reconnect for 50 minutes) - xda-developers

thanks for your help. the instructions start after you have the original cwm installed on your phone with odin.
Incidentally i didnt do the part where it mentioned apn as i dont use data and i didnt think it had anything to do with the gps working youll have to correct me on this if im wrong. I assume your gps isnt working either.

1. To get into download mode its just holding the camera button.
2. Read the op it describes how to get back to 5.0.27 download the suilutang zip flash then reboot.
3. If your on metro data already works along with gps already, cm7 also runs on 2.3.7. Not gingerbread

Just flash it back as you did when you first installed it. If you cant remember :
http://androidforums.com/admire-all...-recovery-not-compatible-rom-manager-yet.html

I was referring to GPS triangulation using the gps chip (standalone) not the CDMA triangulation system over your cellphone providers network using the CDMA chip. On my stock rom this doesnt complete a callback (connect back after turning it off) for 50 minutes, I updated to 2.3.7 hoping this would solve it only to discover the gps chip doesnt start up at all. I assume they havent worked on it yet but will do for the final release.

Thanks everyone for your help, i really do like that 2.3.7 upgrade. I cant wait for it to be completed o)
