I read earlier that the gps, light sensor thingie, camera weren't working do you know.if its your kernal .or cm7
Camera's still broken, light sensor is fixed, as is GPS.

I looked on some forums I think there is a flashable zip file that supposedly fixes mms/camera in cm7 but we don't know if data fully works I have no service otherwise I would try the mms part do you think I should try the camera fix after you release another revision
You can try if you'd like, I'm assuming data works because when I tried to make a phone call, I get the pay by credit card crap I get on stock. It might not be fully working, but it should work enough to make a call. In fixing everything else, I seem to have broken the battery status again, so I'm testing a fix of that right now, and if all goes well, Alpha3 will be up shortly (more of a user-friendly build this time).

Just wondering, do use an ide to compile? or do you just edit them in plain text?
I mainly just edit things in Kate (I'm using Kubuntu 11.10).
Also, bump for alpha3 yo.

requisite0 I was wondering, what if you save your QPST configuration, and then Write it back to the phone after flashing CM7, along with an APN restore, would data work ( theoretically )

That fix I thought I found basically just copies and paste generic android cameras files essentialy wouldn't copy and pasting (stock) camera data work or will it not be compatible with cm7
The stock camera files are already in the ROM.

think alpha 3 bootlooped me... anything i can do?
No idea how it could bootloop you, it doesn't do anything but format /system and install the ROM. Doesn't touch the kernel, or anything boot related.

maybe I didnt install cwm right...
You need to make sure you're using my CWM to install CM. If you're using the old CWM, yeah, you just basically hosed your /system partition. Boot into CWM and restore or install my CWM, then try again.

also i am using your own cwm (5.0.2.8.)
For those having the problem with bootlooping, I too was having it, until I tried something. Install Alpha 2 and after it loads all the way turn your phone off and boot into his CWM, and then flash Alpha 3 right over the other rom. Dont format /cache or /dalvik status or anything. Trust me I just tried this and now it loaded the 3rd Alpha. Thanks so much requisite0
Mmm, try doing a factory reset. Sounds like something is going wrong during dalvik cache setup.
