@requiste0 How bout a 5.0.2.7 CWM MDPI? !!!!!
Sorry guys, been working on debugging data all day today since I only had a couple hours to borrow a phone with service. Good news is, I did get data and MMS working on CM7.2 (hackishly). Bad news is, it's gonna take me a little while to reverse engineer everything I did in to the source tree (copying proprietary files, writing a better install script, along with helper scripts for detecting filesystem and carrier settings from the previous ROM, and installing the proper kernel, recovery, and necessary APN settings, etc) for building the next alpha. Once I get that out there, I'm going to focus on figuring out the camera issue, and then officially deem this beta quality software. From there I'll be focusing more on the kernel side of things (overclocking, getting rid of that damned 'android' boot logo, etc)
So stay tuned, I suppose. Not going to be posting much for the next day or so, writing scripts, pulling files from the nandroid I made of the phone I had for data testing, etc. Don't take my silence as a lack of progress, I'm just going to be extremely busy.

First and foremost, I would like to send a humongous thank you to all the devs involved in this project, dating all the way back to the beginning. I followed all major threads on this project and its nice to see how much it has grown. So, again, thank all involved, especially requisite0, who in my opinion has put in way more than the past devs, and never asked for a dime.
Second, I would like to stress the point that I am well aware that the more senior members of most forums dislike when n00bs post repetitive questions without reading the whole thread or checking other sources. Like a moderator pointed out in this thread, its not required to look elsewhere, but it certainly helps. With that said, rest assured that I have been kept well informed about this whole project, and have had many questions answered as I read through as well as new questions arise.
And last, like I said, I did have some questions that came up as I went through that I felt were left out. For example, as I read through I tried to build my own walkthrough of the install process as the OP didn't have one that was idiot proof. As I went on, steps were added and subtracted until I came to a final three step process, not counting flashing the new CWM: flash A2, flash A4, then GApps, with rebooting after each step. When I got to the end, it dawned on me that only two or three times did someone mention that the Admire is also available on the NTelos network, which I have, and those that did mention it never said whether it was working any better or worse than the MetroPOS version (typo was intentional, lol).
In short, I have two major issues. 1) If someone would be patient enough, a detailed walkthrough of the Alpha rom (up to this point) process would be amazing as I would love to see the progress, too. I know there are bugs and stuff, but I am pretty tech savvy so I can follow instructions as long as they are accurate. And 2) Basically I just wanted to know if it really made much of a difference between Metro and NTelos versions of the phone. I know progress is happening, and I am patient enough to wait, but I love CM and can't wait for it to come out, and I want to make sure I can get my fix as well
Like I said, thanks to all involved, keep up the good work. I can't wait to see if requisite0 can get ICS on here, as well, in either CM9 format or stock ICS. I have ICS on my Evo and have been long awaiting CM9
PS: requisite0 - Do you have a Twitter that I can follow? If you have no relevant updates on there, then don't worry, I just like to follow Android devs to see whats up these days![]()
Excellent news, I look forward to the finished product. At this point I would rather wait on it to be more stable than to toy with an experimental mod. Usually I don't mind experiments but this phone only has one major dev (you) and not much to fall back on.
Is it safe to assume that since the MetroPCS and NTelos networks are both CDMA that the software will work the same or do you think there might be service errors in the coding?
I use Alpha4 daily with Google Voice and GrooVe IP. Only things not working are data/mms and camera.
I, personally, have not flashed this rom yet as it is still an experimental alpha. However, I believe enough is working that you could use it as a daily, but there might be bugs. I'm going to wait until its a little more stable.
