I'm getting something similar to that in my rooted 2.3.6? Its a server error though. Could it possibly be the same problem?
 
I know others have reported already that the camera app works with video but not still pictures. I too have encountered this, however I noticed when the camera app freezes when taking a still picture, the dsp manager force closes every time. I find it odd that an audio app crashes when taking pics. I tried freezing dsp manager, but the camera app still hangs when taking pictures.
 
I followed every stepand got this error as well so I formatted system,data,cache, dalvick cache, then went to mounts and storage formatted system,data,and cache....then reflashed cm7 mounted the system flashed gapps rebooted and now the market works other than the icon when you open it it says Google play unlike the first time I hope this will help a few ppl....also data wifi GPS and sync work perfect only bug is in the camera screen turns white after taking a pic lol...well so far this rom is amazing I love it can't wait for the next update.... req0 Ftw!!!!! lol other devs testers as well keep up the good work!!!
 
Yes, I agree, requisite0 is doing a flabtabulous job :)

Also, I don't know if anyone has figured it out, but by default the notification and ringtone is set to "Silent Ringtone", so unless you change it yourself it will not be heard. I mention it because some people said something about it before but I don't remember anyone saying how to fix it.
 
req knows, and req don't care. Anybody can change it by editing build.prop. And I assume a billion people will once this is 'stable' and people decide to start building their 'ROMs' from it.

If all it is is text and doesn't affect the rom, I could care less, too. As far as building my own rom from it, I personally don't have the know how, nor the time, to do that, so you can rest assured at least two people in my house will be running the software you are working so hard on :)

everything worked for me except the MMS. any flashed metroscripts for this rom?

searched the web and found none.

I tried adding a new apn setting and it won't save the settings I input. It also erases the the default when I add the new apn setting. I then have to press menu, then select reset to default.

Any help appreciated.

Yea they both have the same boot screen...

Just out of curiousity you did flash kernel and recovery right?

Hopefully when this all done we could posibbly seperate kernel and recovery zip to seperate installs.. yes I know its needed for first timers to update cwm but it seems like most roms in the future will be ext4 roms .. considering its more practical ..

In addition .. I'm sure newer kernels will be optional for people wanting to overclock their admires as well as install kernel to ext as well..

If you don't know what I mean it means that by installation to ext it tricks the phone into thinking the ext is actually the devices ram giving you lots more room to install system data apps etc automatically to your SD ext :D

That's how I understand it... how freaking cool is that??
