I don't know if it's a result of my post, but thanks requisite0 for making the overclock kernel optional instead of it already being implemented on the ROM itself. I look forward to more updates :)
 
did this with the overclock all i did was restore.my cm7.2beta bkup then flash da overclock bamm! everything tht worked b4 works but now its f***n flyn :)
also got flash player working! :) no lag in videos
 
I am writing you from the country of Moldova is in Europe. Recently, our mobile operator began selling Samsung R720 from MetroPCS. But the problem is that we are talking in Russian. A standard firmware does not have a Russian. Hows your battery life? Is it the same or less
 
Ok So i flashed req0's Rc. beta2... i thought it was bad ass... thanks again Req0...

but I had an issue when trying to revert back to the old cwm..... I followed the directions in the OP and flashed singulation's Cwm... and then ran my nand... but the phone keeps booting up in cyogen..... I have tried wiping the data/factory reset... mounting the system... formatting the system... plus downloading the cwm patch again to make sure it wasn't corrupted... all with no luck...

As an additional bit of information when I open the old cwm it says that the system can't be mounted.... and for the record i did search this thread for an answer but didn't get one that resolved my issue..... just saw the one that said boot old cwm and then load nanad....

anyways thanks everyone for your help....and another big THANK YOU to req0

Read through the thread. If you want 5.0.2.7 CWM back, use ODIN

I should have been a little clearer... I have tried using odin to flash my phone back to 5.0.2.7.... but when i booted cwm up i could not mount system nor flash anything else on top of it.... and when i rebooted it still booted req0's rom
 
Thanks so much for your hard work, Requisite0.

I love the new overclock kernel. I'm not entirely sure of it's impact on my battery life or speed because CM 7.2 was already very well-built. I'm just curious as to if whether you'll try to push for higher than 900 MHz. I seem to recall you said your phone started giving errors at around 925 MHz, but others have suggested that using the base CPU each one is still a little different.
 
Hopefully someone can help me with this. Tried searching the thread for answers but there's just so many posts I was going crosseyed.

1) I can't get WiFi to work and not sure how to fix it.
2) Can't get data to work (at least I think this is what the problem is). Signal strength is showing 0 asu.
3) Root aplications keep asking for superuser permissions multiple times before they finally open, and then ask for superuser permissions again after it opens.

I think that's it, for now at least. Been hung up trying to get WiFi to work.

Edit: Booted into recovery and wiped/formatted everything again. Seems to be working now. Will update if it stops again.
 
Hey @ Req,
when i try to install this tweak on cm7(smurfed out), and reboot, phone keeps on FC'ing. It clears /data and build.prop(if i remember correctly..) after reboot, i get continous phone force closes. anyway to prevent that?
 
Still can't get data working, any help there would be nice.

Also, does GPS work on this or not? I can't seem to get it to work but don't see it listed anywhere in the original post.

Some have claimed that the GPS does not work. What *exactly* is wrong with your data? and what Provider?
