you dont like waiting then move on to something else. you dont ask for etas. its kinda disrespectful and discourages devs from even wanting to carry on. it will be done when its done.
youre more than welcome to make the next version if youre tired of waiting.

anyway...a few things that might help with mms
if youre pushing the app thru adb..it hast to look like this

adb push com.android.Mms.apk /system/app/com.android.Mms.apk
you have to uninstal the default mms, not just delete it. use links to sd or titanium pro for this.
you HAVE to set permissions before you install the new one. if you dont have root explorer, theres a free app that ive been rocking lately called
X-plore file manager. it does everything RE does, and has ftp.
youll have to go to configuration and set root access to Superuser+mount writeable to be able to change permissions.
 
@baby_jesus found out that its not the procedure that has my mms all fuzzy it has to be metros service in my area cause on the AM5 sending a mms message is the same as if sending it with CM7 it just sits there still sending

hmm weird, i was just in NY a few weeks ago, using both stock++ and cm7 to test it out ,and even tho i never saw a 3g signal i was still able to use data and mms with 1x.
can you tell me exactly what steps you are taking to fix this?
and thats weird about stock++ also for you..its actually he most stable rom ive used without having to reflash or use a bunch of fixes.
whats your daily driver ROM?

i were using the steps u have given to the forum, and my daily driver rom is AM5, im going to retry stock++ though to see if its just me this will be my third time.

ok, but do a factory/data reset, and wipe dalvic and cache partition, then reflash the first cwm recovery and kernal in the stock++ thread, then stock++. you wont need the seperate 900oc kernal.
 
btw..right now i just did a fresh install of cm7, coming from stock++
i wiped EVERYTHING before the install...im going to try out a few new things i found involving mms, gps, and some data issues that a few people are having. so hold out on flashing any mms or metroff fix for a few minutes
 
Hi:

I just install and two things:
- GPS is working only using the A-GPS, the cell towers, can't detect any satellites. Tested with GPA Test app.
- Everytime I restart the cell start win Digital Roaming (no MetroPCS) and after I dial *228 it fix to metro and start working fine.

I installed the cm7 zip and did everything as instructed and when i reboot it just stays black and never boots or anything. Any one help??? Im running stock ++ and monster.

good to hear, just let it sit for awhile, and to get the playstore running make sure you go to settings, manage apps, and clear data/cache for the play store.
also see the mms fix thread. this rom works great once you give it some time to settle in.
also for a good camera get nemus camera beta or fastburst from the market
 
Just installed ROM on a Cricket Vitality. Data is broken for me unfortunately. I'll see what I can do to fix it.
*edit: things I've noticed.
*228 will not program the phone for data usage. Recorded msg states phones been programmed, but it gives an error (Phone was not programmed, try again, blah blah blah), then loses service all together.
I'll have to re-install this on the weekend and see if I can troubleshoot this.

it should still give you the prl, you just have to manually reboot.
did you install the cricket apn from the OP?
 
Yep. Installed the APN. Even reflashed and manually changed the APN settings.

The NAM and PRL download/commit msgs that you normally get when dialing *228 were not present, so something is definitely up.
Unfortunately I need my phone for work during the week, so I'll check it out more on the weekend

Same here. Supposedly this is being fixed for beta 3.
