Root [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 Huawei M835

In the first page not me. LOL

I'm mod to get CM7 working for Huawei C8150.
I must give a thank to alot of people to get CM7 can work in C8150. Especialy U8150, U8160 and C8500 developers.

Btw may be i post in wrong thread...
I'm so sorry...
I'll delete my previously posting :)

I don't know if that rom was made to work with the m835 but i downloaded it and used it and it works great. The wifi works the camera works the video works the only bad things i see is that auto rotate doesn't work and the soft keys don't light up after the phone sleeps. if you change the brightness settings they will come on but once the phone sleeps they are off for good.

Kind of the same issues here... only my soft keys stay lit all the time, well they turn off when the phone sleeps but on my stock rom they would light up for a bit then turn off unless I pressed them. Also my tilt sensor doesn't work anymore, unless I go back to stock. >:I

Google those zip files... everything works fine ... only issue I have is with sending pictures >:I

CM7.2-Ascend_07282011_signed

gapps-gb-20110613-signed try this one first

okay so playful gods m835 cm7's wifi isn't working so I made a torrent for a working one. (I didn't make the roms i just found them and grouped them.)

This has the most recent Huawei Ascend CM7. Just use lcd density changer and change the density to 120.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lv.n3o.lcddensity&hl=en

first wipe data
second wipe dalvick cache.

than flash the ascend rom
flash gapps, and
than flash Metroff which fixes the mms(picture messaging) problem.

This has working wifi, sms, mms, camera, and etc.

Actually, someone just needs to take my Ascend repo edit all the m860 stuff to m835 and compile it ;)

I might do it if I can fit it in, but atm my plate is over flowing with 4 LG devices. lol ;)

I think i might come back to this forum.

It's dead and it needs a little something and plus i haven't posted since i got on NPP

OK, I'm trying to do this. I've got the CM7.2-M835-SK-09162011-signed.zip downloaded onto my SD card. I try to flash it with Rom Manager and everytime I do it asks me to flash ClockworkMod Recovery. When I try to flash that it asks me to confirm phone build and it thinks my phone is a Huawei U8160, and its obviously not. When I decide to continue anyway, it gets most of the way through flashing and then Rom Manager crashes and I have to clear it data to even get it to open again without crashing.

Is there a way to flash this ROM (or any other ROM for that matter) without ROM Manager?

Saw this reply and I shat bricks... mentally at least!

I just downloaded the u8150 nightly (dated today, 8-19-2012), so far on my HeroC and Evo Shift i have been having great experiences with nighty's (quite a few things me and others have reported have been fixed in the past few months, even the unimportant :D)

If I knew how to do any of this I would jump on it in a heart-beat, for now, its just me trying to be hackery and get this nightly to work on the m835 (and get the make recovery to give me a 5.x or 6.x recovery for the m835)

All props go to PG and TBTE, I might not have used the ROM's since the CM7.2 stable came out, but I still re-guard them as my starting point going from stock to CM7 :D

Thanks again guys, and I look forward to actual Developer magic instead of fool's magic (what I call what I do) for this aging device!

I just got this phone (temporarily, lost my admire ) ...Does this version of cm7 (OP link 1st page) , have everything working ? Is there wifi issues still?

Finally got around to adjusting the LCD, but I noticed other irregularities. On the lockscreen, the rotary wheel is off center. The left end of the wheel is alligned with the left end of the screen, but the right end of the wheel falls short of the right edge of the screen by about 7mm. Also, if you're browsing through settings and click on an option, there is the normal gold glow and you get an annoying blue bar along the center of the option.

Changed it back to 120 and noticed more irregularities. When you connect your phone to a computer via USB, the transfer files button is on top of the text above it. Also if you have a pattern unlock , the the circles overlap.

I also have a question, is it possible to look at the coding of the stock wifi and deduce what sort of chip it has?

the problems your talking about is the stock theme . just get an theme, their gone. there are themes on market , and xda forum . just try ldpi themes . you can try mdpi ,hdpi but i dont reccomend cuss most are buggy and a big waist of time . some of my favorite are by Achep and kevin2516 . there many others too . also you can fix the lockscreen using uot kitchen for lockscreen . it works no doubt

edit build prop basically .. and maybe some other files depending on how its build .

If thats it then I have and idea. I'm going to re-ROM my phone into Mate35 which is if I understand correctly just a rooted, trimmed and streamlined version of stock ROM (tell me if I'm wrong and Ihave to use full stock), go into build.prop and copy everything, paste it into an email to myself, reflash CM7.2, and use just the corresponding numbers from my emailed copy in CM7.2's build.prop, restart, back-up existing ROM, pull the back-up off the phone onto my desktop, reconfigure ROM back-up into a zipped folder and share here.

Probably oversimplified, but are there any flaws in my evil plans?

Well, changed some things and got a boot animation loop. Here is what I changed:

dalvik.vm.heapsize=24m
to
dalvik.vm.heapsize=22m

ro.build.version.sdk=10
to
ro.build.version.sdk=8
(I think this is what caused the animation loop)

ro.sf.lcd_density=120
to
ro.sf.lcd_density=110

noo ... you werent suppose to chande any of these . you had to change the things that said m860 and ascend ... also yu can change the density to110 but it limits the apps you can download
