I can game fine unless it's arcane / a heavy game with other players then it gets hot phones aren't really meant to game all day they were mainly thought of for calls and text. Though I run epsxe and others all day. If it lasts me 5 hours just gaming it does better than my old hydro which was three hours just texting :P
 
Yeah I had the hydro before I got the force. I dont game a lot on the force but when I attempt to the battery gets super hot after about 20 mins. Maybe because I'm playing the dark knight rises. Who knows lol

Its more than likely that game xD I can play psx almost all day barely rises above what a phone call does to my battery but drain it. I'm looking into a larger battery or ordering this nifty prerooted quad core tablet with 2Gb of ram for 200$ and built in controller and LR buttons. So far tho this from is the best and he's doing an amazing job ^__^ can't wait to see its future.
 
Wanted to provide you guys an update. My work is not done. Its been a while since I have updated the rom. I had a lot of stuff come up in the real world so that halted progress. Right now I'm setting up a new build unit as my laptop died. I want to release a 1.0 for DS. What do you all want to see?

JB, Power toggles, advanced reboot menu, OC capabilities as we'll as plenty I/O & govs to choose from...

IMO, JB would be my top priority. ICS is laggish and sluggish, even with a bloat-free ROM. Jellybean is lighter, faster, and more efficient than ICS could even wetdream up.

But, if we don't have the tools, we don't have the tools. :P

Sounds good, APK wise personally I don't know how many people like the Xperia launcher, personally I like the Nova launcher even bought Nova Launcher Prime.
Could suggest adding JRUMMY's ROM Toolbox, Trickster MOD, An App Backup and Restore app. I also use AdAway, Advanced Task killer, Aptoide, Battery Widget Reborn Pro, ES File Explorer, Speedtest, GPS Fake Location, and TeslaUnread Plugin for Nova Launcher Prime as added ideas for compilation.
 
I agree on the awesomeness of Nova launcher & Prime as I use it myself, but the apk actually throws a fit about being used in compilation (Found this out when doing my JollyRoger ROM for Warp Sequent). The basic Nova can be used, but apk demands a re-download from playstore on first boot (Turds, lol). And while Prime/Tesla unread can be added with the setup, it's (unfortunately) apparently illegal to post ROMs with paid apps in the forums (pirating laws.. darn.. Lmao)

Even the free Nova launcher doesn't like to work in a compilation? I understand the prime doesn't like to since it checks for the free version and I think checks for a synced google account. And I understand tesla wont work without Prime but it is legally a free app in the google play store just wont work without Prime. I understand the paid apps being illegal to use but the free versions are legal like Nova Launcher (not Prime), Nox theme, ES file explorer, Battery widget reborn (not pro), JRUMMY's ROM Toolbox (not pro), Speed Test, Trickster MOD (not pro) and stuff like that wouldn't that be legal? And simply a update through your google account should make any needed changes to up-date your apps to Pro if needed right?

I'm still new to phone flash ROMs so feel free to correct me anywhere just threw out my ideas from my experiences in other modding places.

And can using 7zip open apk's so we could modify the defaults or customize our own apk to look and feel exactly how we want using codes and ideas from other apks? Not sure if that would be frowned upon, some people like reverse engineering where others get mad so not sure if me adding that idea is bad or not.

Right... Nova free doesn't like it.. says it's "unauthorized" and if u compile the Prime with it, it'll say "MOD" in red by where it tells u the version in the Nova settings. Lmao. But it WILL still work in all functions with the exception of Tesla unread IF u try to download it AFTER the ROM is installed. If unread is compiled with the Prime & free, it's still fully functional with just the warning of it being "unauthorized" and lack of apk support from the devs. As far as modding an APK /Theming, it's straight as long as u don't claim someone else's work as ur own. Just post due credits for the work and you'll be straight. And yes, legally I believe u can compile free apps into ROMs all day long... If I'm wrong, someone plz correct me?

So I found this kind of odd. Seeing as the latest kernel version wouldn't flash and only the latest kernel is available for download as is dsf, I thought I'd check my last 3 downloads to find out which one has the last working kernel, I flashed 0.5 and it worked, 0.6 it worked too, thing is 0.6 didn't have matrix kernel and 0.5 had the latest one that wouldn't work with my phone and I had only realized this after I wiped my phone to try the next ROM, but after attempting to flash it again, I had the same problem, it would freeze at the animated loading screen. Flashing 0.5 was the first ROM I flashed after updating cwm to 6.0.4.4. Any idea why it would have worked, but not anymore?
 
Holo launcher works great in compiling and it's so light weight. I'm going to start trying to get some different Roms going then see where to go from there, I haven't built to many Roms but am going to attempt some build soon just getting a tree together and the fun will begin.
 
I bought smart launcher pro, it's ridiculously lightweight and looks nice too. I wouldn't use it if I was on 4.1 though, only reason I'm using it is because 4.0 is ridiculously slow.

Agreed. I fired up my old warp, and it felt more responsive on 2.3. Granted I put 6 months nonstop work into it
 
Well I started from scratch and got voice mail working and added an improved camera app. Download not available yet. Not sure if anyone is still interested
 
I'd like to see even the smallest improvements in dsf. I'm not saying you did a bad job, I like your ROM, but performance on 4.0 is disgusting in a bad way. I have problems with my phone freezing up (only way to restart it is to pull the battery) and things like the camera taking forever to become usable, like it has to wait for all my pictures to load. SD performance is also terrible. I can't wait for 4.1+ to come to this device.
