Root Rom For ZTE Avid 4G

Hi im new to all of this rom and rooting stuff im wondering if you guys have a custom rom for the zte avid that works great for it i have just got the bootloop problem changing the font. I guess i need a rom to make it all work so if anyone has one that works i will use it. thanks ;):):D
 
Yeah look at the slimstock or something around that it's basically stock but debloadted hopefully you have cmw though (:

Both the roms on that post are able to run post boot scripts for different tweaks
And the one has google now pre-installed.
Other than that, these are just starting points for custom themes and a base for custom roms.
I am doing a lot of research as far as what will and will not work for our device, so a new release with more features is upcoming. I try to keep releases as bug free as possible before I post them.

Ok i will look out for the next one. Can i install themes now or do i have to wait for the next release?
 
if by themes you mean from theme chooser than no not yet totlth is trying to get a working one for us at the moment so just sit tight and hopefully we may have it by next release.

You can try online themeing kitchen. Do a search for uot kitchen as I'm not sure of the web address.
It is pretty straight forward on how to use it. If you have any problems or questions that you can't find an answer to, then post a thread and either myself or someone else that has used it can help you.

Yea i have a questions how would i install the theme when im done with it? And how would i use it? Also what options do i select for the file upload page so it works with this rom?

When it's done "baking" it will be in an installable zip file.

In your /system/app dir is the SystemUI.apk
In your /system/framework dir is the framework-res.apk
these are the files to upload

I found the framework-res.apk but cant find the systemui.apk i searched the sd card folder and it didn't show.

nvm i found it.

im sorry for all the questions :p but where would the boot animation be located?

There isn't one on your phone , it will be in the zip that the kitchen spits out.
Don't be sorry about wanting to learn something new.
And I don't mind questions.

I installed in and when everything loaded up i had no notification bar i did a factory reset but that didnt work, then i re installed your rom and that put it back so i don't know what took it out but im not going to use it and just wait for your next release.
 
Ok. I will go to uot when I get a chance and..... wait... can you upload the zip that you got from the kitchen?
I will look into it for you and see what's the deal if you want.

The status bar shows up but its distorted.

If you guys trying to edit notification bar just use romtoolbox the only thing the don't work in romtoolbox is the batterys and the 4g 3g 1x don't work the rest work fine and for that the don't work you have to edit the folder inside systemui.apk

I don't know what happened on my phone i got no status bar and no boot animation. Maybe i was doing something wrong? What would make the notification bar distorted and not show up on my phone

I have to have the paid version to change those in romtoolbox...
