Root [ROM] Froyocream Sandwich v2.0 released: 3/29

When i tried sending a ringtone to a buddy, the SMS program FCed immediately after i attached the audio. I went and got Handcent, and got the tone sent, no problem. But as I am not a 14yr old girl(sorry HCfans...), i don't really wanna keep HC on my phone. Seeing as i havent read about this yet, i thought ya all might like to know about it.

Also...i have noticed in a few of my apps, the font color makes some or all of the buttons invisible. Another minor issue, but felt compelled to mention it. Possibly i just wanted more time practicing on this MessageEase keyboard i am rocking...;}

These issues are fixed on the next update :)
 
Sorry if this is a noob question but I just came from the Optimus V and was wondering why we don't need to format /system? Would it be bad to format /system?

When you do a full wipe it formats the /system so you don't need to format it and when upgrading from the same rom it overwrites the /system so there is no real need to. If you do it won't hurt anything, but it isn't necessary.
 
I am runing CM7 Reloaded, but I use WiFi a lot, pretty much all day. Is there a huge battery life difference running this vs CM7 because of the WiFi wake lock? Just wondering if I should downgrade to this 2.2 build.

I thought they fixed the wakelock problem. Are you running the CM7 Reloaded build? If so, are you using the latest version?
 
version 2.0 is out has a redone system so any problems should be gone aswell as the black text on black background was fixed and ive removed the thunder.prop from the rom for compatibly with Foxfi if you want thunder.prop use b_randon's thunder.prop :)

Is there a way to go from CM7 to this without having to restore? I dont wanna have to re-install everything. Thanks in advance.

You need to do a factory wipe. If not, you will have problems. Use Titanium Backup to save all your apps and restore them without the data to the new rom. It really doesn't take all that much time.

WOW! Very happy and surprised!
Yesterday I see Froyocream Sandwich "final" now I see it's been updated :)
This was my daily driver for a bit, it is wicked sexy.

Did anyone else have data/phone signal issues?
I would get my emails 1-2 days late (even though refresh settings were hourly--and I'd refresh manually on occasion). A few times I'd be in certain areas and I'd have NO signal at all (data and phone). To test, I'd restore a "TG Reloaded" backup; and I'd have data and phone back with a decent signal.
Needless to say, that made it difficult to remain my daily. Any chance it's been resolved? I'd LOVE to flash it again.

as far a s I know, they never did. I can't find anything saying they did, and I followed pretty closely. I'll test, since I have two triumphs right now (ugh)
 
I just flashed the new update, but unfortuntely, i am a 3rd shifter and have not been able to mess with it that much...
The first thing i noticed was the scroll bar at the bottom of the launcher is missing!? minor issue, i know but is there a setting for that? I know that Go home app has it, but i rather just use the normal launcher. Thanks all!
 
Use Wireless networks or Use GPS satellites don't stick..it unchecks itself as soon as I hit back or home


Nevermind, after 2 reboots it started working
 
Screen shots and torch (flashlight app) would complete the rom. I switched back to miui because I use those tools a whole lot.
 
First time user so far I love it I love a working phone again awesome features so far I like it I'm not some dumb question but does hdmi work ?
 
Hey ziggy & mobstergunz, are you all able to wipe data on Froyocream v2.0 or anyone that has a 1% battery mod and reboot recovery & power widgets. Because I cannot wipe data on my ROM without bootlooping, but I noticed in your all's installation instructions it says to wipe data/factory reset!
