Root [ROM] Froyocream Sandwich v2.0 released: 3/29

Froyocream Sandwich 1.4 is "advertised" with the feature to change the carrier name, but I cannot seem to find it. How do I change the carrier name in 1.4?

it is? we never claimed that you could... we have our framework-res.apk kinda jumbled atm so changing the name isnt possible for most users :( sorry

what did you have in mind?

My apologies. A few of the videos I watched for installing 1.4 kept mentioning a custom carrier name. I went ahead and upgraded to 2.0, and that has the options for the home screen carrier name(s), but I was wanting to change the carrier name that appears on your lock screen in the top right, where it now says Froyocream Sandwich. I just wanted to change it to Metacortex or Skynet.
 
Is it possible to use the Froyocream Sandwich theme on bROM or another Froyo ROM, or does it have to be the complete stock Froyo?
 
I have this themed over b_rom, is there a way to change Froyocream Sandwich in the buildprop or another file or something?
 
so, um. back to my question. no ability to change that Froyocream Sandwich carrier name on the lock screen? my question sorta got ignored for some reason here. I mean, it's nice, but I don't want that silly name on my screen.

I would have to redo the whole theme to do that.
 
Just wana say great rom, only one question after flashed under the / about phone / mobile network type is unknown, is there a way to fix? I did the wipe data, cache partition before flashing, Thanks in advance!
Edit: rebooted and showing network type now

About to flash the v 2.0 ROM and just wanted to ask a dumb question R.E. the instruction to not flash Gapps. I'm guessing that's because they're included?

Sorry- I thin every ROM I've used in the past has required 'em, so just making sure... :)

Aha- just installed & answered my own question. Thanks anyway!;)
 
Does anyone out there know of a way to adjust the auto-brightness settings on this ROM? It seems significantly brighter in low-light situations compared to the stock Triumph ROM, and I hate to have t constantly fiddle with the brightness manually. Is there a fairly simple edit that can be done to change the min/max values it uses?

Just curious! :)
 
where do i find this gapps package?? did everything on the video/instructions, but not seeing any gapps package in cwm.

other than that i absolutely love this rom! fixed my internal memory problem, and the theme is right up my alley i love it!
 
the download for this rom doesnt work when ur at the end it gives a socket error 10054

i used opera and then repaired the temp files im gonna see if it works

that seemed to work but it gives me a changelog for 1.4
 
Thanks for the GREAT ROM and all your hours of hard work! I did a quick once over of the earlier threads in this post and I can't seem to find where to download your kernel. I wanted to try some other kernels, I can't find your "apps_2.6.32.21 kernel" to download if I want to restore it. Nothing wrong with your kernel. Like most everyone else here...., if I break it :-), I would like to return to the "apps_2.6.32.21 kernel". Thanks again and I apologize if you have already posted a download link in an earlier post.
