Root [ROM] GB-CMod7-Beta

my theme resets everytime i reboot my phone and usb on freezes my phone and resets it.
they dont call it beta for nothing :]
 
so after testing cm7 for a day and going back to sense for a couple days.. i had to go back to CM7 the rom itself is just everything that it should be.. with almost all oft he options built int hat i previuosly needed alternative apps for, the great theming via theme switcher and the matching metamorphs.. i did a complete wipe of everything this time around and everything is working great.. still have a low volume problem.. nothing is as loud as it was with stock or Sense.. its the ojnly thing about this rom i dont like.. hope it eventually get fixed.. just wondering is the r.o.c.k. kernel works with this.. would love to be able to overclock it even though at stock speed im hittin 990-1010 quadrant scores...

The rock kernel works great with this rom. This was the first rom I tested it on. I will eventually include the kernel with this rom when I get some internet. I will not be uploading another 90 MB rom via tether :)
 
thanks Blax, much appreciated. So i have a found a few things.. not sure if they have been mentioned or fixed.. but root explorer force closes everytime i open it. i installed androotfile to try to delete it fromt he system directory and although it says androotfile has been granted superuser permissions everytime i try to delete root explorer its say that i need to have rooted phone with su perms.. also the app Raindar FCs and doesnt work.. its not a built in app. im trying to delete root explorer so i can download it fromt he market so it will update.. cant delete astro either for soem reason.. and cant find an option in astro to grant SU and r/w so i can delete stuff.. anyone got any ideas?
 
So i flashed this ROM and its there is a delay when i try to unlocka it and sometimes my screen just stays black. and i cant use my usb mass storage?
 
That's too bad. I'd save all your important data, format your SD card, boot into recovery, partition your SD card -- if this rom uses the A2SD, and wipe and reflash. You might have some gremlins...

So I'm bored and about to attempt to port a new cm7...if all else fails I'll just throw my phone into a fountain and wish for an optimus v. :)
 
ohh ok. but cyanogenmod is available for a variety of phones though, and if you'd be willing to switch carriers for an optimus v, might as well switch carriers and get a better phone too...Devices | CyanogenMod

first things first.. did you read the original post? where it says to go to CM settings and turn both screen on and screen off animations off? and the second thing to get mass storage to work go to settings> applications> developement and uncheck the Debuggin mode notification
 
kinda funny... blaxican.. i had that exact same wallpaper on my phone for a while.. and everything themed blue.. lol.. now i have the clock.. same taste.. lol.. im using the Bionic Blue from upwardspiral theme for cmy.. and went to the xda site to get the matching metamorphs.. EVERYTHING is blue.. and have a 3 stripe blue on black wallpaper now
 
so im loving the rom except for a few issues. I downloaded with IE. Rom fails verification. install anyway. No market.flash in market doesnt start. install gmail doesnt start.

wipe and try again and turn off the signature verify b4 you flash.. after that, when u add ur google account info a box should pop up with a list of apps to install automatically. rememmber.. the market has been updated.. so after you open the market once it probably gonna close and not open for a few minutes.. and the next time u open it you will have to accept again
