Root [ROM] GB-CMod7-Beta

Anyone know if this rom made the wiimote compatible? Or is anyone willing to test it and let me know? I know that it worked for optimus 2x.

Did you or have you actually successfully connected a wii remote to the phone? I know that wiimote application works but when I try to connect it gives me an error on sense rom.

also can I overclock with this rom?

To anyone that is having bootloops.
Are you overclocking?
For some reason cpu master autoset to set clock at boot. so when i overclocked past safe it reboot. And continued to set it
 
Yeah I play emulators alot....especially FPSE. I love metal gear solid and pairing my ps3 controller is the only way to get the most out of the game...no controller vibration though...

As far as I know ps3 controller is compatible even with stock unrooted but I don't have ps3 lol so my stupid wii mote is all I got to work with since xbox doesn't use bluetooth
 
okay I flashed i correctly did everything right anyone explain why im getting a force close on the setup wizard?


nevermind from what i read switching from sense to cm7 seems to be a no no lol. dont know anything about adb so ill flash team chicken then reflash cm7 hopefully it works

I have it working now. It will take some getting used to but its not as buggy as I had expected for a beta. I have noticed root explorer force closes which sucks because I use it ALOT and I just dont like astro but I have my wii remote connected and now links awakening will be beat tonight lol.
 
I flashed in this order:
The rom
r.o.c.k. kernel
Google apps package
Reboot and skip setup
Reboot imediatley
Flash mms fix
Reboot
Download the market(it wasn't there for me)
I found a few bugs:
1 the gallery Widgets doesn't work
2 the camera is really laggy when you start it up
3 you can't use the boot animation downloader or change boot animations
4 the root explorer app doesnt work (it does if you install a newer version)
5 pocket legends and the other space mmorpg doesn't work
6 the browser, YouTube, and the market sometimes don't load(youhave to do a reboot)
7 using the su command doesn't allow you to move files to to folders
the overclock feature works amazingly if you put it to 746 or 800(anything over 800 makes my optimus m crash) but kudos, this is amazing :)

after you flash the mms.zip and reboot.. add your google account info under accounts.. its should pop up a window that asks you what stock apps u want installed.. make sure scroll down to get them all.. i had no probs with the market or anything.. all my apps work great.. root explorer is a known issue.. i removed it with ES File Explorer which you can run in su and get root to work.. i also removed astro from mine as well.. workin on the fixing the low audio bug now with help from reppard.

also when you hit the button to turn the screen on.. just slide ur finger to unlock it and the screen will pop on and unlock the phone.. theres a bit of lag when turning the screen back on.. but touching the screen makes it turn on instantly

Maybe you can answer this for me. What is it in cm7 that makes the wii remote compatible with the optimus m when b4 this rom it never was? Also, if you can pinpoint what it is (I'm sure it has something to do with bluetooth versions) can you help me to implement it into the sense rom or maybe pass the info on to joneidy so he can add it in the next update? Hope so lol thanks in advance for ANY info you can share.

well i dont have a wii remote so i couldnt tell you much. i know that the sense rom has had issue with bluetooth period...not sure its been fixed yet or not. could just be some of the newer libraries in this rom but if i remember correctly i pulled the bluetooth libs from a stock rom.

hmm, I will try flashing back to stock then, I love the look and feel of cm7 but my battery seemed like it drained a percentage every 1-2 minutes
 
Does the oc kernel support a2sd swap? I'm thinking I may have set the value too high and maybe that's why it isn't working...however everything else on my device is running from my sdcard including the app data....btw I do have ext3. I just don't wanna wipe my SD till I'm sure as my PC is slow and 8 gigs takes forever to backup.

the rom supports the a2sd.. the swap is something that goes along with the a2sd script.. my swap doesnt work either.. not sure if it was enabled int he script setting, depends on the version of the script as well, but its a preference thing really.. u can have more swap available.. but unless you have a class 10 or higher sd card it will most likely slow ur phone down.. havent tested it myself.. but the memory in ur phone is alot faster than any sd card u can get
