Root [ROM] GB Miui For DX!! (1.9.30)

anything special you need to do in order to run Go Launcher? Like do you need to turn anything off on the stock one?

I just flashed it...i like a lot of things and dislike a few. I'll play around on it for a few days.

I do, but I'm back on stock.. the battery life was less than Blur.

It is pretty involved, so it takes a bit to get used to, but it's good. I assure you.
 
just upgraded from FroYo version, and now when the charger is plugged in, the green LED stays on constantly. Any way to turn this off? Checked under LED settings, but didn't find anything. Thanks
 
.............my initial results are i like CM7 better.....i'll probably flash back to stock as well. It is really involved. probably more involved than i really want it to be lol. It does run smooth

oh ..whats up with the camera? is there something i'm suppose to do? I tried taking some pics and they're all garbage.

does the gps work well also?

None of my barcode apps work either, which I figured out after Titanium kept weirding out whenever I tried to restore it. :rolleyes: That is unfortunately a very bad problem; I need a barcode scanner. But my keyboard app didn't work on CM7, so it's either pray for a fix, or go back to stock .602.

(I personally use Vignette for my camera, works way better.)
 
I have problem with Gesture Search. It finds the contact alright, but when I select the correct result it displays a totally different contact. Any idea?

Edit: fixed. in Gesture Search, Menu -> Refresh Index.
 
To get the camera working go.to settings... set it to 8mb and the focus to infinity. That will fix your camera. I can't wait till they come out with the next release... its gonna be based off the defy base and is supposed to fix the few bugs we have with these builds.. including powered off charging and no led while charging.
 
Steven... just do what I did and get a 3500 mAh battery and it doesn't matter what kind of battery life the ROM gets... even on MIUi I finish my day with about 50% left and I use my phone moderately throughtout the day all day long.
 
Downloading now and looking forward to updating. The only time my phone sees the cwm recovery anymore is when I'm updating miui haha

School has taken over my life once again.
 
Am I alone in noticing a flashing yellow led for a minute or so after locking the phone? At least it seems to be the lock; I can't figure out why I seem to have it flash when I have no notifications otherwise. Driving me a bit nuts.

Some things don't restore in Titanium that had to be downloaded separately; SVOX for one, barcode scanner for two (though I can install it, it freezes the system, necessitating a battery pull).

The Samsung puzzle lockscreen is off to the right a bit. :( Don't know if it's because it's an older one, or it isn't fitting the Droid X right.

I get no LED notifications when locking. Not sure why this is happening to you? Can't even find an LED setting associated with locking the screen.

Does this work on .605? My wife took the OTA update. I don't usually flash custom ROMs on her phone, but I think she'll really like this one.

Me neither, but since there's nothing in the status bar denoting a need for an LED notification, I assumed that was why.

Anyone use Handcent with Miui and have a problem with audio notifications not working? If I test them, it works, but unless I'm deaf and/or really unlucky, I never hear a sound when I get an actual text. I do recall something about ringtone problems with earlier versions of Miui....
 
Can someone tell me if backing up a theme also backs up the folders that I created? So if I reinstall and then restore the theme I won't have to setup folders for 254 apps!
 
backing up is backing up the entire rom, so everything that you configured IE:Folders, Messages, EMAILS, themes, apps, app settings, will all be the same when you restore it

I was actually referring to the MIUI theme manager. Not the entire ROM.

I'm technically working on the wife's Fascinate but that forum is almost dead. I have an X running CM4DX right now. I rooted hers yesterday and had MIUI running flawlessly. This morning everything is force closing. tried fixing permission, clearing cache but nothing is working. Just did a factory reset so I will know the answer soon enough! thanks.
 
It will back up everything theme wize when you it through theme manager. I keep mine backed up so I can restore it anytime I change anything I don't like.
