Is this compared to setting the brightness to full? I know our screen doesn't get very bright.

I've noticed that my sensor doesn't read on a scale of 1-1000 like it should, but rather 1-50ish (direct sunlight). I set custom sensor values based on that, which seem to work ok.

Anyone else still a bit slowed sluggish?
I think my phone will need replacing soon, every single thing I do just takes forever, unless its Jellybean. Unfortunately we don't have the JB ones fully working, if we did this phone would be golden. I'm starting to consider new phones already, but my eyes keep going back to the Nexus lineup. I'm hoping we get JB working soon, it'll save me the 299+ dollars

What custom brightness setting do you use?
My phone got a little more sluggish after adding all my regular apps but its still very responsive.

seems to be pretty hit or miss on the gps today it took about an hour to get a lock on the gps, it seemed to be much faster on the previous build
edit: it also seems that every time the screen goes off it loses the gps lock

That's the app's fault. Most apps presume that if you let the screen turn off you aren't looking at it and it's to save battery life.

I honestly just set the sensors to intervals of 2 or 3 and it seems ok. I wasnt worried about finding optimal settings though, at least not right now. Just wanted to be able to see my screen as I flash, test, and repeat.
I feel like my phone got a bit more sluggish too, but I always notice that. Stuff like Swype, Facebook, Maps, etc. like to occupy what little RAM we have. If you can live without background processes, it does make things a bit snappier.
I think it actually helped!
Still running April version of this rom, just ran that calibration app.
Seems more responsive now.

For me it seems to be these 3 things. They completely bog down my phone, I guess it's that. Thanks Tam!
I used navigation last night, and the voice worked fine, and it was a very nice voice too.
My first GPS lock after flashing seems like it was under 2 minutes, and locks since then seem like they have been under 1 minute. I didn't actually time them, but they seemed reasonable.
I used GPS for voice navigation last night, with the screen off, and it worked fine.

I can't get this to download from goo.im. Is there another source for it?
At this point, I don't want Google Now, so would rather not have to install it to get a Gapps that I can download.

Have you ever had ICS on your phone before?If so the GAPPS you used with whatever ICS build you used can be used.Otherwise I'll find the link to the other one.

No. It's the other way around. Google Now is always optional.

I don't think so. I'm at work now, but when I get home I can look into what it has precisely. I think it just preps it to have G Now.
Well, I've got the re-ROM done with the symlinked Gapps. Two issues so far, one pretty minor, one huge:
Minor: can't find the font size change in Settings. This is probably an IOHS issue.
Huge: Play Store only seems to know about one Android device I own, my Logitech Revue. It doesn't seem to want to admit that I have a phone linked to my account, and I did make sure to set that up for sync. This is making it pretty much impossible to install a new launcher.
