Ok but im Running the 1.x OTA. Your telling me this is the Full on 2.2 WITHOUT the need to Unroot and install the New OTA. Right?
 
Waiting for the original file.

I'm not a fan of things being stripped off of an original release at all. That's something for ROM cooks to do after the fact. I personally prefer to do it myself as I get exactly what I want on my phone.

everyone has said to update to the new radio first, so yes...in that case you would need to unroot, and flash the new radio image. at least that's my suggestion.

I've had the new radio for so long, I forgot some of you guys didn't upgrade it

Haha. Yeahhh. Iv been watching people Brick by installing it. Or running into "Update aborted" I havnt taken the time to actually do it. Guess Ill go ahead and try that now.
 
I wish unrevoked hadn't touched the build.prop. Leaked the same day as it was built?

The original will still be altered. Just about guarantee that.

That said, the stuff missing should not be critical, nor was it likely it was updated from the last leak. I'm in the process of making the new leak a little more hospitable.
 
What I prefer is when folks don't deodex a leak.

1. It gives a little more assurance its legit.
2. Deodexing breaks things if its not done right.
 
I am going to run this today. I've already made alterations (for the better). If all goes well, I will post an optimized version tonight, including some stuff left out of the original rom.

Great, if you can get it to the same state that the original 2.2 leak was at, then I'm all for that. I know there's a lot of crap included but people can remove the stuff they don't want rather than someone make up their mind for them.

I'm looking forward to trying it out.
 
Cool. Any chance of wireless tether AP or are we still in the same boat on that? On a related note, do you trust the hotspot hack to be unrecognizable?

I am uploading a more reasonable version now. Nothing is stripped so don't expect it to be missing cityid or the likes. it also will not auto wipe data on install, although its reccomended. The radio has been stripped as well...clockwork doesn't install radios.

build.prop has a market fix so all apps show up and removed the Unrevoked bits.

ROM is still deodexed so it will take a long time on first boot. If it doesn't boot, you should have wiped data :D
 
One question, I have always been one for watching what Titanium Backup settings I restore from one rom to the other (to avoid conflict)

Could you get away with restoring all TB system apps and data from the original 2.2 rom to this 2.2 update?
 
You need to be rooted, sadly.

This is the same version as the new leak except I added what was removed, ringtones and all, and removed the radio. It also won't auto wipe your data.
