Root [ROM]Leaked Stock 2.2 with Sense [EVERYTHING WORKS!!]

anyone else getting worse battery life than on stock sense? before i can get through the day and maybe on occation the battery gauge would turn orange. Now i'm barely making it through the day without it giving me the low batter warning in red. I did the battery data reset, i turned off all animations, bt, etc.

I've only been running it since Friday afternoon; but I feel like I'm getting better battery life. Only running it since Friday I'm hesitant to give a figure; but I'm definitely seeing an improvement.

Also, phone seems faster as well. Granted I'm only running Sense right now; but it is noticeable.

Figured I'd post this in here...

This is the older version of the OTA 2.2 leak (not the one that came out on 8/1). I didn't reboot, kill any programs, or anything like that...It never seems to make a difference for me. I don't even use a task killer at all. I'm currently using LauncherPro, but have seen the same scores with Sense...I put setCPU in performance mode and I'm also running my own version of the audio fix, my pandora sounds awesome and doesn't affect my scores :) I changed the VM heap size to 32m, but haven't noticed any difference.

Linpack averages 38's, though I'll get the occasional 39.

Would be nice to see what I'd get with OC. On an older version of sky raiders ROM before the 2.2 leak, I was getting mid/high 1400's in quadrant and 45's in linpack. With this ROM I get pretty consistent 1300's, the highest I've seen was 1375.

I've been running this leak since the day it came out, and with the couple fixes I needed, like the market and gmail fixm and my audio fix, it's been super stable and much quicker than 2.1. I'll stick with this until the OC kernels come out. It seems like I have better battery life too. I was using Juice plotter and when the screen is off, my battery usage flatlines. This is purely anecdotal, but it seems like the cpu scaling is more conservative, and seems to sit at the min clock speed when asleep. (I don't think it used to do this)

Care to share your audio fix?

I posted it somewhere in a couple threads on XDA. All I did was edit a different line in the build.prop. Instead of changing the enable.player line to false, I left it true, and changed the enable.http line to false. It disables stagefright only for http streaming. Files on the phone in that encoding will probably still sound crappy, but I only have mp3's so I don't care. I'm guessing this is why quadrant scores are unaffected. Programs that use http streaming, like Pandora sound great though. The mobile version of youtube doesn't work, but I use the app or go to the full site now, since flash works so well. Also, it seemed some people were having problems with the camera FC's with the other edit(I'm not sure why), but people said they didn't anymore after doing it this way.

I've seen another fix going around where it uses the stagefright libraries from the Evo's version of 2.2, but I haven't tried that out. It might be better than the way I did it.

I ran quadrant a couple more times yesterday and got over 1400 a couple times, it seems like the VM heap size change did help, because I never got over mid 1300's before I did it, now I get consistent higher 1300's...Does anyone know if 32m is the optimal size, or will going higher help more? I couldn't find much info by searching.

same here. i could usually get down to 40-50% in 9-10 hrs but now i get downt o 40% in 7hrs. i hope we get the official rom (which i think will have a battery fix?)? but that might just be the charging issue.
